Business Card

I was trying to get rid of the unnecessary papers in our office and found the old custom business card of my husband. It looks alright but, some of the information of that card is outdated. The phone number does not exist anymore and the background design is too outdated. When my husband meet clients, he still use the old cards but changed the phone number entry. It was still nicely done but, the information on the card was not good enough. That is why I am currently searching for a new layout design and color combination. I am looking for the right color combination that best reflect the business. I have to choose and present the design to him for his preference. Are you still saving your outdated business cards? It is not the basis for positive feedback but, it helps a lot. The business card reflects a lot about the business you ventured in. Necessary texts should be updated whenever there are changes of the information. How would you like to get a business card which contain the informationyou needed to know? Of course, you will keep that card because it contains the essential information you needed. Think about your card now. Does it have the information which the client need?

Ninja Costumes

Have you ever tried wearing Ninja Costumes? I did not! During Holloween, I love to wear scary costumes just to be in the celebration. It was fun actually! I also love giving candies to the kids who knock on the door with fabulous costumes. Not everyone likes scary costumes though. Some wear Ninja, Superman, Policeman and NFL attire. I am still planning what to wear this year. It will give me enough time to really pick up the costumes that I am comfortable wearing. I wore a witch costume twice but it was not really scary. The kids whom I gave candies to even scares me to death! Anyway, I might consider wearing ninja costume because it is comfortable to wear. I can wear an all white or all black and cover my face. My husband wore a Jason mask last year's Holloween and it was the easiest costume to find. As long as you can find the mask, everything will be perfect. I wonder what costume will my husband pick for this year though. Just a thought even though it's still four months more. Days come fast and before you know it, it's that time of the year. As for me, I am looking forward to every holiday especially those that I can wear a costume.

My First Flight to the US

When I have my first flight from the Philippines to the US, I was very excited. I have one small luggage and my medical papers with x-ray as carry on (funny). My flight was Manila-Guam-Hawaii-Houston-Orlando airports and I was very confident as I can recall. I had a nice window seat in all the flights and I was just having mixed feelings. It was a continental flight and the food and service were good. When the airbus landed in Guam, I had to go to the immigration for an interview. Guam is my point of entry and I thank God because it was fast. There were many Filipino employees in Guam airport too.

I can't call my husband because my Smart and Globe roaming can't pick up signals. I can't use the phone because the phone booth is far from my gate. Anyway, my baggage will be pick up upon arrival in Orlando. It was less hassle and I really enjoyed finding my gate.

When we arrived Hawaii, the departure time was late for 30 minutes. There were problems about missing luggage but, anyway I was not worried. I had my connecting flight to Houston and I know we will arrive late. The captain announced that my flight was put on hold and it will only depart when the 49 of us will arrive Houston. When the plane landed, we were met by a flight attendant and guide us to the shortcut passage directly to our gate. It was fun and full of running and walking fast!LOL!

It was a big aircraft but it will never leave 49 passengers. We were late for 45 minutes and some of the passengers there was upset. Anyway, the flight was fun and when I arrived Orlando, was surprised that my husband was at the gate. Well, he got a buddy pass since he worked in the airport too. When I found him, I shut off my brain and allow him to take charge where to get my baggage.

Turtle

Look what I found in our backyard early this morning? We live in a National Park and friendly animals like the turtles, rabbits and deers are frequently seen on our backyard. Turtles are protected animals so we can't just make it as a pet. When we saw them around, we feed them and when they are done, they leave.

See the crack on it's back? The turtle must be injured from somewhere and this specific turtle frequent our yard.

Waterspout

The picture below was taken right after the sightings of two waterspouts. Well, waterspout is a columnar vortex like a funnel-shaped cloud. Hubby and I were at the beach and having lunch when everyone was taking pictures on our back view. We thought they were just fascinated with the seagulls flying above us because we feed them. Well, it's not!

Waterspout occurs over a body of water and and it is a non-supercell tornado over water, It is very rare in our area. FYI: Waterspouts have life cycles too: formation of a dark spot on the water surface, spiral pattern on the water surface, formation of a spray ring, development of the visible condensation funnel, and ultimately decay. When I took this picture, it just gone swiftly!

Rustic Bedroom Set

Have you ever been to a place where you stayed in a cottage with beautiful rustic bedroom set? Well, as a matter of fact I did! We had a vacation in the Philippines and stayed in this place where nature is everything surrounds the area. In the morning, you will hear the birds chirping, sounds of the water falls nearby and the buildings are made of durable wood. The room is filled with rustic bed, rustic bedroom dressers and furniture. The room where I stay, looks like this but, this is beyond beautiful. Of course, I love the ambiance of that place especially my rustic bedroom design. Yet, it would be different at home when it comes to my preference of furniture. I am the type of person who loves walk in closet and loves contemporary furniture. The bedroom dresser is alright but I would probably use it in the dinning room. I love to keep my precious dinnerware collection in it and besides, it would look great with my dinning table which is made of wood. How about you? Do you love handcrafted wood furniture? Leave me a comment and share your thoughts.

Salute to the Active Parents

June is the school opening in the Philippines. Every last week of May or first week of June the community is involved voluntarily to help the teacher of their children. The Public School Teachers have the responsibility to make their classrooms conducive to learning. They have to provide anything that is needed in the classroom at their own expense. Having these parents who give a helping hand to the teacher is truly a big relief! Most of the public schools in the Philippines have no gardeners. So, teachers took charge of their own backyard. These parents are good landscapers too. Teachers do not need one because here they are showing their skills in doing the curve appeal!
If the classroom doorknob disfunction or the bathroom won't flush, teachers will fix it. Teacher's are the handy person inside the classroom. That is why, when parents volunteered to do the handy job, the teacher can focus teaching.

There are more than 50 children inside the classroom with no tables and chairs. Government can't accommodate to give each classroom what they need. The teacher should be resourceful! That is why during the PTA meeting, the teacher would ask for school projects. Look! A newly painted table and chairs for the new first grader to use. I salute the parents who are active in the school to make the learning situation inside the classroom easier and comfortable for their children. My Disney Watch

When we visited Disney World this month, I went shopping for watches just to have a remembrance for my daily wear. I love the color because it's not too showy and the design is simple.

The strap is brown which is my favorite. Of course, the product is made durable and I am just happy as kid who ate a good ice cream, LOL!

I have my share of shallow happiness and when I bought this watch, was just one of those shallow moments of my life (wink)! Enjoy your life everyone.

Color Blue

Here is another picture that is rich in color. This time it is color blue. The picture is captured during winter. It may not be an authentic photo and if this is real, it must be an awesome place to visit. I just saw this picture in my pc's folder.

Anyway, blue color has a lot of meaning. In the human emotion, it means sadness. In German, to be blue means to be drunk. Dark blue means knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness. Blue represents the working class. A blue-collar worker is a member of the working class who typically performs manual labor. Would you agree?

Bump Key Set

Have you ever experience the hassle of finding where you put your bedroom keys? Or the hassle of trying to open a padlock but, it jammed? Probably that must be an annoying moment especially when you are on a dead rush to an appointment, right? I had problems with my key yesterday."Buy Bump Key" as what my friend always reminded me from. Of course, buying a Bump Key Set is a wise alternative to save me from the agony of this type of misfortunes! Anyway, here's a helpful tip to ponder. Lock bumping is a type of lock picking. There are tools available to lock bump and these are called bump keys.

Beautiful and Colorful Sunset

Isn't this an amazing picture? I just got this from one of the folders here in my pc. I do not even know if this is authentic or not. I took a lot of sunset pictures but not as colorful as this one. I love sunset photographs because it reminds me of hope for a new day. A new day to look forward with a wish that everything will be alright. Sunset reminds me that when I am tired for the day, God gave me a moment to rest and cuddle my weakness in the warmth of the night.

The Bachelor

This was written by guest blogger Taylor Rase

There is no man more dreamy on television than whoever is the bachelor on the reality show, "The Bachelor." This is hands-down one of the best reality show on television. Ask any woman, and she will likely say she loves watching the gorgeous man on "The Bachelor."

I adore watching The Bachelor on the channel I get through my satellite tv deals. There is nothing more relaxing than coming home from a hard day of work to watch a gorgeous man on television with class and sharp style. I always pretend I am one of the women being selected by the bachelor and try to imagine what I would say to the bachelor, or even do! The show has transformed television as many other shows have created spinoffs of this show. There is even a version of the show where a woman chooses a bachelor from many men. However, I like the original show the best. This show is also great, because it shows women what men want. I like seeing what the bachelor is attracted to and what behaviors put him off. Sometimes I don't even realizing that I am doing something that might be a major turn off to guys! The good thing is that I correct this behavior and thus increase my chances of someday meeting my own gorgeous bachelor. I highly recommend watching "The Bachelor" on television for the best reality show ever!

A Day of Mourning

July 6, DAD in law died! We were on the home and we just can't make it on time. July 7th was a dragging day for all of us. July 8th was my birthday and people come in and out of the house but not for my birthday. It was sad but a week prior to that I had my birthday celebration in his room in the assisted living facility. He was happy on that day and he asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I just said whatever he will offer, I will accept. July 9 was his wake and we were in the funeral home from 4PM up to 8PM. There was an amazing moment happened last night. A plaque lost during Hurricane Katrina was found by this family. They keep it for years. They came and returned the plaque last night when they read his name on the obituary in the newspaper. Isn't it odd and timely? Yes! it happened! Seeing Dad in the casket was painful. Every family member was "okay". Dad is in Heaven and finally rested in peace. Goodbye Dad! Thanks for the memories and laughters. Today we will lay him in his final resting place.

Virtual Dating is Fun

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Smingle.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

According to a Harvard study in 2006, “Virtual Dates cause individuals to develop greater affinity toward one another when they actually meet.” I swear based from my experience that it is true. I met my husband through a dating Website and here I am, happily married. There is a new dating site which is more fun and it is called virtual dating. Harvard study further stated that, "The new cutting edge is interactive, virtual dating.” I have no hesitation that by creating an account in a dating Website, it would lead me to the love of my life. I have a busy life and I have no time to meet single men. After work, my computer is the only thing that I enjoyed hanging out. Websites such as smingle.com really works out for me and I know that it will work out good for single men and women out there. What I like about smingle.com is that it is a unique dating site and one of a kind. Using an avatar is fun and virtual dating is more interesting but, the focus of knowing the person is there. It is virtual but once the individual become comfortable to each other, trust is build up and it will start to bloom from there. If you are looking for that someone, check out smingle.com today. It is easy to join! Just create a Free account and if you upload a picture to your profile, you will get 3 months FREE for premium "Elect Select" account. How cool is that, right?

I Love Roadtrip

My husband and I decided to look at some houses and condos in Florida. We made some appointments online and we took a 5 days vacation for me to take a good rest from my ten months work in the casino. The travel time from Mississippi to Florida is almost 12 hours especially when we routed the scenic way.
I love roadtrips. The beautiful scenery, forestry, farms and beaches amazed me. This picture was taken when the traffic was heavy because of some minor accidents that we passed by involving two cars. Anyway, it was amazing to see that Florida also has water melon farms. We were able to buy $1 for a huge water melon. Amazing!

Grief: Lossing a Family Member

How do you handle sadness? Each one of us handle it differently and in our own time. Today, my father-in-law died of old age. He was 90 years old and at 89, he was still playing Wii with us. I wrote a blog bragging that an 89 year old plays Wii. We had fun for almost two years! We go gambling in the casino, dinning out, lunch out, fishing trip and do gardening. We miss him today!

Deltec House

This is a Deltec House, a circular design house and only one in East Beach, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I took this picture because this is the favorite house design of my husband. We will build this design in the Philippines on the beach area. The inside rooms are AWESOME!
