Memorial Day Weekend

How was your weekend Memorial Day Celebration everyone? Have you been to your grannies? Have you visited a cemetery or a memorial park in your area? Did you have a wonderful time with your family? Whatever you did today, I hope you had the time to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. As for me and hubby, we just stayed home. Tomorrow, we will definitely visit the memorial park in either Merritt Island or Titusville.
Along Banana River
After attending the mass, we decided to drive from Port Saint John towards Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach, and Titusville. I took some photos and I will be posting them in all my blogs. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

On Memorial Day

Today, I would like to say THANK YOU to these brave men and women who fought for FREEDOM and who die serving the country with pride and honor. This Memorial Park is located in Biloxi before the Hard Rock hotel and casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.I was watching a marathon of war movies today. I felt the sorrow and agony of the family who lost their son, father, brother and husband during battles. But, some of these service men were missing and declared dead, so sad and tragic. Bless the heart and soul of the family!
Some of these fallen heroes died in Iraq, Europe, Vietnam, Philippines and other places in the world.
Let us not forget that Memorial Day is intended for those who never came back alive. If you know someone who lost their love one during combat, approached them and say thank you. A good hug and a firm handshake would give them assurance that their family is not forgotten.

Memorial Park: Billy Guice Veterans Memorial

This is a message for everyone. We did enjoy the freedom at present because of these men in uniform who sacrifice their lives for us. There is no remains here....this is only a monument. This is the park, I call it "The Price of Freedom Park" because that message is written in bold letters at the heart of this semi circle monument.
Okay, this park was developed in 1967 dedicated to the fallen heroes during the war. This is located in Biloxi Small Craft Harbor , facing the Isle of Capri Hotel and just few distance to Beau Rivage, Hardrock and Grand Casino Hotel. You can view the faces and year they died and where if you zoom in the picture. I don't know why there are two of these. The other set of fallen men who died in Vietnam, Europe, Iraq, WWll, Pacific and other countries. I admire Biloxi for having this place honoring these men. Here is another image that simply convey the message of men wounded during combat. The view of the whole monument. These are the pictures that I took in Biloxi, Mississippi after lunch. More to share about this place.
