Quarter For Shopping Carts

Of all the grocery stores in Orlando, ALDI is different. This store is focus on "honest to goodness savings" well, that's the concept----> products should be affordable. Which I admit, their products are affordable. I also noticed that this store has few manpower inside the store but, they keep it clean, systematic and when you need assistance, you can actually call someone for help ASAP.Using the shopping cart is quiet unique because you have to insert a coin to use one and when you are done, you have to return it in the cart area to get back your quarter. Pretty neat because most of the shoppers doesn't want to leave a quarter behind. The parking lot is clutter-free of shopping carts and Aldi don't have to pay another employee to collect carts on the parking lot. A huge cut of salary budget thus, having to sell affordable products are not that hard to accomplish! My husband loves their 2% milk because it is only $1.79 a gallon compared to other grocery store which is $3.49, huge difference huh? The meat on display is a bit higher though but, when they say FRESH, it is really fresh and the meat is so tender. Dairy and meat section here is our most favorite, how about you?

Saint Augustine's Fort Matanzas

If you plan a vacation in Saint Augustine Florida, you should visit Fort Matanzas just to know the history of this place. This is Matanzas inlet located in the southernmost access for boat travel and the Fort Matanzas was built to safeguard this strategic inlet. The Fort and it's wall is made primary of coquina, a sedimentary rock formed in association with marine reefs such as seashells and coral. A blurry picture which I took inside Fort Matanzas. This Fort was constructed in 1740's.The military quarter , a very tiny place. This is the water cistern which serves as a receptacle to catch and store rainwater. At the Observation deck and this Fort is really in a good location to see the whole area in 360 degrees and definitely can protect the inlet from enemies.
From the dock area, you can travel the ferry for Free and it probably last few minutes to arrive on the Fort.
Just loving the blue skies coz later in the afternoon, storm will take over.
The small docking area in the Fort Matanzas.
Guests can stay here and listen to the guide as he gives the important history details of this place.
It was an interesting visit. Short but fun.

A Gift to Myself

Okay, this camera arrived today. I like it alright but, I still love to own a DSLR either Canon EOS Rebel or a Nikon D5100. This GE camera is rated 5 stars and I will do the same. I have no problem with this camera. In fact, I love all the features and the price is only $128.oo which is unbeatable. I have two new digital camera that I seldom use because it's handy for me to use the BlackBerry phone. If I keep this for me, I might not use it that much. So tomorrow, I will be returning this camera and save for my DSLR.

Liability Insurance

In the blink of an eye you could be involved in an automobile accident. That's why it is important to have motor liability insurance on your vehicle. Even if the accident was not your fault, you can still be taken to court. If the court does not agree with you, then you would have to pay the damages and injuries of the other person involved in the accident. This could get very expensive if you do not have liability insurance.

If your automobile does have liability coverage, your company will be responsible for paying the damages on the other car. Your insurance rates will probably go up. That would be a lot easier to deal with than a lawsuit that you would have to pay out of your own pocket. Most liability policies have limits. This is the total amount of money that the insurance company will pay out to cover you.

Usually the higher rate you pay on your liability policy, it will cost you more. So you must think about how much insurance protection you actually need and how much you can afford. There are a couple of different types of liability insurance such as single limit and split limit. When purchasing liability insurance you should work with a professional insurance agent who can help you determine what kind of policy you should buy. One other thing, most states require you to carry at least liability insurance. If you are involved in an accident and are driving without any insurance, you will be in serious trouble.

Destin Beach in Florida

We love the beach. Since we live in the Southern part of the US along the Gulf Coast, the view of the beach is common. We live in Mississippi for almost 2 years so; we travel either direction to Louisiana or Florida, passing Alabama. This is Destin Beach in Florida, three hours travel from Mississippi but from Orlando Florida, it will take us 7 hours.I love these pictures. I am only using my Blackberry Phone. The heat was a scorcher but, the breeze was very cool, as you can see, a lot of people in here. This specific beach is private for men and women in uniforms and their family. Since my husband works in the army before, we were able to come in.Here, I purposely want this picture taken showing this condo-hotel building on the background. This is the famous Emerald Grande at Harbor Walk Village in Destin, Florida. The classic architecture of this building is truly beautiful and grand facing the harbor. Here we are at the second floor facing the harbor view. The beach at the far end, that's where we went for swimming and took that solo picture. Here, you can rent a boat and sail away, sight seeing along the coast.walking along the harbor, sight seeing , cooling down in one of their refreshment restaurant. Here is the beautiful view of the Destin Beach along the Harbor. Thanks for stopping by. Let's go boating!
This is my entry for this week's Travel Tuesday Meme. Thanks for stopping by.See you in your blogs and thanks for the comments.

Musical Animated Turkey

Even though I am not fond of dining out for breakfast, I can't say NO when my husband drive down to Cracker Barrel. they will served the usual American food but, there's fruits to order so; I really don't mind. After breakfast, I would roam around the display area looking for new things that I might love to buy. Then I found this musical animated turkey which dances and play the harmonica. I bought this yesterday after we dine out for breakfast at Cracker Barrel.Last December, I was attracted to a Santa Claus that dance and sing a Christmas Song. My father-in-law bought it for both of us. This time, I bought this for my husband. In fact, he never saw me paying this stuff at the counter. I handed the bag as we went out the Restaurant.
This is truly entertaining and I was glad that my husband like it a lot. If you happen to visit Cracker Barrel, check out their display, you may find one that you like.

Flagler Beach

This year, we celebrated our Third Wedding Anniversary at Saint Augustine, Florida. Besides that, my husband decided to show me Florida's Atlantic Coastline traveling on the A1A which is a scenic route. It was then that I realized that Florida coastline is truly beautiful. Both East and West side of Florida's coastlines are just amazingly wonderful. We stopped by at Flagler Beach to stretched out and take a moment to enjoy the breeze of the beach. There were miles of untouched area but after driving awhile, little towns will start to show and it goes on like that most of the travel. But, I don't mind really! The place was close to nature where I saw birds flying by the beach, heared them chirping and the blue skies were just beautiful to see. We saw people on the beach biking, and kids swimming with their parents watching them nearby. The place is just nice to hang out and get relax from all the hussle at work. We need to have a "siesta" time to take that stress from our workm right? A cheaper vacation would be spending time at the beach nearby your place, that would be awesome.I was wondering what this place would be like during sunrise and sunsets?
Flagler Beach has so many vacation houses and hotels which can be rented at reasonable price depending on it's season. For more information, check out cityofflaglerbeach.com.

Hyundai Genesis

Do you live somewhere in Delray, Wellington, Coconut Creek and Boynton Beach? You are so lucky because Palm Beach Hyundai Dealer is just nearby. Two months ago, my husband and I were looking for used cars to buy in exchange of the bad condition van that we purchased recently. At that time, we really don't have any idea which make we want to buy. So, we just tour around Orlando to find the car that we can afford to buy.Doing that, we saw the 2012 Hyundai Genesis and we are just in awe with great admiration for it's interior feature. It has leather seats with cozy design inside thus, it exudes an upscale feel indeed. Much as we wanted this car, it was beyond our budget. Shuttle Atlantis Launch

This is the Rocket Garden inside Kennedy Space Center/NASA in Florida. This place is gorgeous and when I was there, all I could think of was my students back in the Philippines. How I wish I could bring them here for a Science Excursion. We live only less than an hour away from here so, I can go here anytime I want and the ticket, I can get it at an affordable price. July 8 was my birthday and it was the Atlantis lift off to International Space Station to deliver supplies and logistics. The feeling of sadness can be felt in in this area too because it would mean, no project, no more workers. In fact, after this mission hundreds of the workers inside Kennedy Space Center lost their job already. The whole major roads heading to NASA looked like this. In fact, this is a good spot to see the launch and we are lucky to get here before everyone else does. We traveled at 5Am and we brought two laptops to keep track of what's going on at NASA and of course, I can still blog.It was believed that this final launch had more than a million visitors. Though it was cloudy and stormy, the launched was on schedule. Everybody participated the countdown and the lift off was spectacular! Everybody was so excited and the kids can't contain themselves..This photo was taken by NASA/Fletcher Hildreth inside Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It is impossible to get a close caption like this without a high tech camera. This is the lift off and the final mission of Space Shuttle Mission that is why, we wanted to witness.Oh yeah, I was there with my husband and more than a million other visitors. Here we are having a good time in the windy area of Port Canaveral. We are in the Banana River area just further across the launched pad. This is my favorite picture of all. Humans are too small for this gigantic rocket, right? This place is huge and spacious enough to feature on display the real Saturn V rocket of the Apollo program. The Apollo/Saturn V Center is built to tribute to the Apollo astronauts and the machines that got them on the moon and brought them home safely. In this area, you will find the lunar vehicle too. Now, I am thinking to go back and take some new pictures. This is my entry for Travel Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by at Florida everyone:-)

VjAndep Pastel

Pastel is a Filipino Delicacy originated locally in Camiguin Island which was introduced by VjAndep. I was in great awe when I saw that VjAndep occupied the big building somewhere in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City. It was my first visit in three years and my city has grown in unbelievable progress.I bought few delicacies which I miss while living abroad and that includes pastel, hopia, polvoron and more. The original Pastel that I like is made up of bun with "yema" filling. To my surprise, they now have 12 varieties of Pastel: .This is indeed a success story of an entrepreneur Eleanor Popera Jose who commercialized Pastel on the 8th of January in 1990. VjAndep stands for Virgelio Jose and Eleanor Popera so when you read the name the sound of "j" is silent thus, making it Vandep.
Now, I know how they got that name huh! Anyway, here are the pictures of the store that they have in Bulua.
I hope their business will be bless more with success and a long lasting enthusiasm to create more Filipino delicacy to satisfy the cravings of everyone!

Sunshine Skyway Bridge

We saw Greta VanSusteren on TV yesterday and we noticed the background, she was at the PIER in St. Petersburg. Since my husband and I have nothing to do for the day, we decided to visit St. Petersburg and have a good lunch at The PIER. That's the main reason though and we arrived after more than an hour drive. We dine in at Columbia Restaurant which is the oldest restaurant in Florida. We are supposed to roam the downtown area but, the sky was already getting dark so we decided to drive home passing another route avoiding the traffic in Tampa. We passed this gorgeous artistic bridge which has a France-inspired design. Rated as #3 "Top 10 Bridges" in the World by Travel Channel and is considered as the "flag bridge" of Florida. Honestly, I love to visit places with historical significance such as this Sunshine Skyway Bridge. I know, the sunshine did not come up at this time, right? (",)This picture would have been nice in a fine day and we could have enjoyed parking in the Sunshine Skyway Fishing Pier across it. We decided to just go home and come back next time, it's only an hour and thirty minutes travel from our place to St. Petersburg anyway.Sunshine Skyway Bridge is constructed of steel and concrete. There are 21 steel cables clad in nine-inch steel tubes along the center line of the bridge which supports the structure. This bridge was designed by the Figg & Muller Engineering Group, and built by the American Bridge Company. Now we know, right?
