Zumba Classes or Not

You know what keeps me curious these past few weeks? Whether I can survive the zumba dance classes here. I wanted to enroll but, my dilemma is too strong. I can do it but, what if I can't? Or, what if my dance moves are awkward. You know one of my lowest grades in college is not Biology, Taxation or History ... it's PE, short for Physical Education with a C grade because I can't move my body in Debbie Gibson's "Electric Youth " LOL. Awkward huh?

Anyway, I have zumba fitness dvd and tried it. I love it! I just do not know if I can do the same performance once I am in a group. The idea that I am the "weakest link" makes me chicken, LOL. Oh well, maybe I won't enroll hahaha.

Sunset by the Front Beach

The Pier by the Harbor in Ocean Springs is the best place to see and capture the beauty of the sunset. We went there today after a family get-together dinner by Aunt Jenny's Restaurant. There were activities at the Front Beach sort of marathon because the participants were in their sports wear with number tags. The side of the streets were full of parked cars and there were traffic enforcers present as well. We went to the Pier instead. It is located at the end of Front Beach. We truly enjoyed the view. It is located at the end of Front Beach. There were people at the Pier but, not too many compared at the Fort Maurepas area. It's been two years since I was here, and I missed this place. Today, I had a great time taking some photos of the sunset.

We went home before the sun sets on the horizon. I was in daze I think. I said Happy Birthday to my sis-in-law and hug her then; it's funny that I also said happy birthday to my other sister-in-law LOL. Instead of saying goodbye, I said happy birthday and I did not take it back. I don't know if she heard me but, she seemed not to noticed it, LOL.

I said goodbye to the little man and beg for a kiss but he hesitated and I told him to give me a hug instead which he complied with gusto.

I remember that the last time we were here (together as family) was when Sandy (the late father-in-law) wanted to go fishing. Everyone came and went fishing right here by the Pier. That special moment happened in the first quarter of 2010. He died in July, two days before my birthday.

Rest Area : The Mississippi Welcome Center

I love road trips. I do not know how many times I said that in my blog but, that's the truth. I love going to places and road trips are the best way to do it. Last week, one family member who visited us from Spain went back and we tried to catch her flight in Mobile , Alabama.
As to why? It's a long story that you won't be interested to hear. It was a whirlwind situation in fact, her flight was at 11:00 AM and we arrived at the airport at 10:35AM. I know right? Well, the luck is on her side! The plane was delayed and the ticketing agent was able to booked her on the same flight. She's on a body pass and guess what? She was able to get in and when she arrived Atlanta, Georgia she got the first class seat too and that's all the way to Spain. Whewww!

Hubby and I went back home and after few minutes of driving, we stopped at the rest area. This is the Welcome Center in Mississippi along Hwy 110. I like this place because they offer free refreshments. At that time, I didn't get any. I just went at the front and took some photos of the tree sculpture.

You see, a lot of trees along the gulf coast were uprooted and damaged during Hurricane Katrina and some were still standing tall minus the leaves of course. There were so many oak trees dead. Some artist came to the gulf coast and devoted their skills , time and money to preserve the historic trees. This tree is one of them and you can see it when you visit the Welcome Center in Mississippi.
If you want to see more of the tree sculptures, visit the Beach Boulevard along the Gulf coast of Mississippi and you will surely find the sight of them.
