Phillip Phillips is the American Idol Season 11 Winner

Congratulations to Phillip Phillips, the big winner in Season 11 American Idol! He is my second favorite contestant because he is different, down to earth nice and so charming! Anyway, last night out of curiosity, I check out some of the thoughts of fans and read some critics.

One writer said that the winner will be Phillip Phillips because American Idol is bias on GENDER. Since season 5, 5 of the winners were men. He further stated that Phillip Phillips will win because he is from the South. 7 out of 10 Idol winners have come from the Southern United States. Talking about geographical bias, Phillip Phillips will be the winner because he came from Georgia. I thought nah... that is just coincidence!

Alas! He was right! Phillip Phillips has won the American idol season 11. Another thing that he mentioned that from season 7, the winner is always the contestant who holds and play the guitar. The trend called WGWG " White guy with a guitar”. I hope this is not true at all! If Phillip Phillips declared as the winner because of the votes, I am happy with the result. But, if these allegations are true, it's not fair for those who were runners-up.

Anyway, here's my favorite Phillip Phillips performance.

I know it's late,
I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me

Still here we are,
both of us lonely
Longing for shelter from all that we see

Why should we worry,
no one will care girl
Look at the stars so far away

We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?
We've got tonight babe
Why don' you stay?

We've got tonight babe
Why don't you stay?

I know it's late, I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me
Still here we are, both of us lonely
Both of us lonely

We've got tonight, who needs tomorrow?
Let's make it last, let's find a way
Turn out the light, come take my hand now
We've got tonight babe
Why don't you stay? Oh woo Oh wooo
Why don't you stay?

American Idol's Gentle Giant Jermaine Jones Disqualified in the Show

According to the "hush-hush" today, no one can save the American Idol's gentle giant Jermaine Jones, not the judges nor the voting the public. He is disqualified after his grim criminal past started to surfaced on the news. He lied to the producers of the show and he did not disclosed his criminal past. Huge reasons for disqualification. Let us see what will happen tonight. If one Idol will be out, one will be called "you are in" right?

American Idol: I Voted for Jessica Sanchez

Standing ovation by the 3 judges! "Jessica Sanchez is legit!" says, Randy Jackson! I couldn't help but smile! I have the reason to watch the American Idol 2012! When judge Steven Tyler was asked by Ryan Seacrest on who got the stand out performance for the night, he mentioned Jessica Sanchez first and the second....Jessica Sanchez! If you missed the #AI episode few hours ago, here she is, singing "I Will Always Love You", "one of the hardest songs in the world to sing", says Randy:
"You, not only the best vocal of the night but, I think you are one of the best singers in this whole competition! Oh my GOD! ...one of the best talents in the whole country...", words spoken by Randy Jackson. Jennifer Lopez was speechless and Steven Tyler said, "You may be the one!"

She is in the Top 13 of American Idol and if YOU will vote for her, she could win in this competition! Her mother is a Filipino from Bataan and her father is Mexican-American hailed from Texas. I am hoping that her confidence on stage will always be like what she had tonight. I will pray that she can always deliver a 100% performance every episode. I wish that she will win the American Idol 2012 but, if she is not destined, I am always proud of her! Mabuhay ka Kababayan!

American Idol 2009 Winner

Kris Allen won the 2009 American Idol. I was using Tweeter while watching the show and the Finale ended with a big BANG!

The show started with flashback of the judges unforgettable Idol moments:
  • the funny expression from Randy Jackson;
  • the "sweety" words of saying NO from Kara DioGuardi;
  • the bizarre adjectives used by Paula Abdul;
  • and the collection of facial expression of Simon Cal.
Then, the top 13 American idol performed on stage. They look so amazing in White. Carrie Underwood, Lionel Ritchie, Black-Eyed Peas, Kiss, Cyndi Lauper , Santana and many more came to grace the show. The performance on this Finale was truly awesome.

American Idol gave three awards which really blows my mind...LOL! Golden Idol Award-Outstanding Male is Nick Mitchell and Outstanding Female is Tatiana del Toro. The performance of Nick is great in his own way. That is his way of entertaining and he is a comedian. But, Tatiana del Toro made a mistake of pushing herself too much. She is talented and the voice is good but, what she did is totally ridiculous. I feel so bad for her.

I like the showdown with Kara DioGuardi and Katrina Darrell. At first, I said to myself why she stoop down to Katrina? But then, she made a point! She was just doing it because American Idol will give BIG BUCKS to her charity for a cause. I admire her for swallowing her pride. The performance was great. Kara prove to Katrina Darrell that Katrina is just the bikini girl and Kara is the Diva!LOL! In fairness to Katrina, she is pretty and her body is great!

Whirlwind finale events huh? I was not shocked when Kris Allen announced as the winner. He was saved by votes for I guess five times. He deserved it anyway. If Adam won, it would be great but, America voted Kris. The votes have spoken. Kris is my bet too. I said so in some of American Idol posts before. Kris will win by votes.

Matt Giraud Is Out

Matt Giraud, 23 years old from Kalamazoo, Michigan had the lowest vote during Tuesday's performance therefore, he is out this week. One performer will be out each week and it is his time to go. He got a standing ovation from the judges during his final song. He had the talent and star quality so, for fans out there, don't be sad because this is the beginning of his moment to shine.

Danny Gokey: American Idol

He is one of the top 12 American Idol finalists. I love his voice and the choice songs he sang. I will be looking forward to see the next episode. He is 28 years old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and auditioned in Kansas City, Missouri with his buddy but, unlucky, his friend was out before the 36 picked. Anyway, this week, he sang "Hero" by Mariah Carey and he belong to Group 1 ... elimination round is ticking! He is my favorite.Group 2 will be next week and my favorite is Jasmine Murray. I hope she chooses the best and appropriate song and delivers it beautifully. She is 16 year old from Starkville , Mississippi...ohh yeah , just nearby...LOL! She auditioned in Jacksonville, Florida. He is Scott McIntyre, 23 years old from Scottsdale, Arizona and auditioned in Phoenix, Arizona. He is sight impaired. He is blind. Watch out for him in group 3. He is very talented. He plays piano and the voice is really great.
