Ease Your Burden and Work with a Funeral Home

Losing a loved one is never easy. Learning how move on without them takes its toll, and recovering from their absence can take a long time. When death occurs, you can feel like you are in a whirlwind of emotion and responsibility. You will need help making sure all of the loose ends are tied and all of the funeral plans are made. Boulder funeral homes are a great source of expertise and support during these difficult days leading up to your loved one’s funeral. Don’t take on the burden alone. Let the experts guide you through all that needs to be done to lay your loved one to rest.
Choose Stress-Free Funeral Planning

When you meet with your funeral planner, he or she will take you through the checklist of the legal aspects of death and burial, as well as the decision-making processes involved in planning a funeral. You will need to choose a casket, flowers, music, and those who will give the eulogy. If a burial plot has not been purchased, you will also need to select a cemetery and then pick a plot. Planning a funeral and carrying it out can be expensive. Having additional support from someone who is not emotionally connected to the situation will keep you on track and speed up the decision making process.

Focus on Your Family and Friends

Funerals often turn into family reunions. Friends and family from all over the country will show up to pay their respects and offer support to the surviving family members. You do not want to be so wrapped up in plans and programs that you do not have time to interact with those who are there to support you. Working with a funeral planner will help you stay on task and free you up to spend your time where you really want to be. As you choose from the different Boulder funeral homes, you will be surprised at how comforting it is to work with a funeral coordinator. You will appreciate the people who make it their business to be professional and compassionate during the most difficult days of your life.

Steve Jobs Dead at 56

My friend died of cancer a week ago at the age of 41. She is just an ordinary person, a teacher by profession and has full of life. In comparison, the Apple co-founder and Chairman, Steve Jobs, famous and the great innovator in this generation, died of cancer at 56. I heard on the news that he was the 42nd richest man in the US and yet, money cannot save him. Scientists still have to find the cure of cancer. Money, can buy the things that make us happy but money, cannot buy good health. Once we are dead, we are gone forever. Cancer is not just one disease but, more than a 100 different types and mostly, it is named after the organ. Cancer is a disease that continues to haunt the living if we cannot find the cure to stop it. We are all vulnerable and no matter how careful we are, cancer will just sprout and before we know it, we are already dying. Of course, life will be stretched a little longer if we have the money to spend for treatments. If we pray harder, there will be miracles and we will be cancer-free. A month ago, we have a friend who died of lung cancer and she never smoke. Cancer can be a genetic cause but, the most alarming is the environmental factor. Well, as long as we live happy, eat fruits and vegetables, do the exercise and choose a healthy lifestyle, we can only hope that we will live healthy until we die of old age. How is that sound?

A Day of Mourning

July 6, DAD in law died! We were on the home and we just can't make it on time. July 7th was a dragging day for all of us. July 8th was my birthday and people come in and out of the house but not for my birthday. It was sad but a week prior to that I had my birthday celebration in his room in the assisted living facility. He was happy on that day and he asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I just said whatever he will offer, I will accept. July 9 was his wake and we were in the funeral home from 4PM up to 8PM. There was an amazing moment happened last night. A plaque lost during Hurricane Katrina was found by this family. They keep it for years. They came and returned the plaque last night when they read his name on the obituary in the newspaper. Isn't it odd and timely? Yes! it happened! Seeing Dad in the casket was painful. Every family member was "okay". Dad is in Heaven and finally rested in peace. Goodbye Dad! Thanks for the memories and laughters. Today we will lay him in his final resting place.

Grief: Lossing a Family Member

How do you handle sadness? Each one of us handle it differently and in our own time. Today, my father-in-law died of old age. He was 90 years old and at 89, he was still playing Wii with us. I wrote a blog bragging that an 89 year old plays Wii. We had fun for almost two years! We go gambling in the casino, dinning out, lunch out, fishing trip and do gardening. We miss him today!

Stephen Gately of Boyzone Dead at 33

Remember the music of Boyzone? I am a fan of this group. Oh, I love their music and in fact, I can sing-a-long their songs such as:
  • Words
  • Love Me For a Reason
  • Isn't it a Wonder
  • You Needed Me
  • I Love the Way You Love Me
  • Picture of You ( Mr. Bean movie)
  • When You Say Nothing At All (Notting Hill movie) and many more.

The Boyzone members are Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Stephen Gately who died in Majorca, Spain on Oct.10, 2009. Stephen Gately and Ronald Keating, both are the lead singers of Boyzone. Stephen is an Irish. After the break-up of Boyzone group, his solo career was launched in 2000. In the video, Stephen Gately is the middle person who sang first and the main soloist of No Matter What.
I just found this video in YouTube and he sang a Michael Jackson song. What a coincidence don't you think?

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Another day has gone, I'm still all alone
How could this be you're not here with me
You never said goodbye, someone tell me why
Did you have to go and leave my world so cold?

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
But you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone, why, 'lone

Just the other night, I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come and hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers, your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
But you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Oh whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And I, and girl you know that I'll be there, I'll be there

You are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
You are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart

You are not alone, for I am here with you
(You are not alone)
(I am here with you)
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
(Though you're far away)
(You and me)
For you are not alone, for I am here with you
(You are always in my heart)
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart

Rest In Peace Ex-President Cory Aquino

I have to pay my personal tribute to the Ex-Philippine President Cory Aquino. Right now, I am watching live Philippine TV {HERE}. So, I will continue my blog hopping tomorrow okay?

By: Emily Dickinson

Death sets a thing significant
The eye had hurried by,
Except a perished creature
Entreat us tenderly

To ponder little workmanships
In crayon or in wool,
With "This was last her fingers did,"
Industrious until

The thimble weighed too heavy,
The stitches stopped themselves,
And then 't was put among the dust
Upon the closet shelves.

A book I have, a friend gave,
Whose pencil, here and there,
Had notched the place that pleased him, --
At rest his fingers are.

Now, when I read, I read not,
For interrupting tears
Obliterate the etchings
Too costly for repairs.

REST IN PEACE Madam.

Between Life and Death

Let me but live my life from year to year,
With forward face and unrelenting soul;
Not hurrying to, nor turning from the goal;
Not mourning for the things that disappear
In the dim past, nor holding back in fear
From what the future veils; but with a whole
And happy heart, that pays its toll
To Youth and Age, and travels on with cheer.
So let the way wind up the hill or down,
O'er rough or smooth, the journey will be joy,
Still seeking what I sought when but a boy,
New friendship, high adventure, and a crown,
My heart will keep the courage of the quest,
And hope the road's last turn will be the best.

Billy Mays Will Be Remembered

If you love to watch the TV, you will recognized the charming face of Billy Mays in the advertisement of Oxi Clean, Mighty Putty, awesome auger, kaboom and so many more. Billy Mays product endorsements were very convincing and you will remember his face. June 28,2009, he was found dead in his home and according to the news, he died because of heart problems. The speculations of head trauma during the plane landing in Tampa Airport was proven wrong according to the autopsy report announced on Monday. He will never be forgotten. What's with celebrities death this month huh? Farrah Faucett, Michael Jackson and now Billy Mays. May they rest in peace.
