I am a very romantic person and I believe in happy ending fairy tale that do come true. Well, that belief echoed in my brain when I am in "Lala land", LOL. I was dreaming that when my prince charming will come to my life, he will sing for me on our wedding day. Okay, I am married now and this never happened, LOL. But, you see real life will never be a "laland". And I am glad that God gave me someone who loves me and took care of me. I felt the message of this song in everywaking moment of life since I got married and for that, I do not need a "laland" anymore.
Happy listening everyone.

Lead Me Lord
I took these pictures last month during the winter snap. The view was beautiful even without the sun. Seems that clouds relay a message spoken only by the heart...hmmm! When we go down the beach, I love to listen to this song sung by Gary Valenciano.
Lead me Lord, lead me by the handAnd make me face the rising sun
Comfort me through all the pain
That life may bring
There's no other hope
That I can lean upon
Lead me Lord Lead me all my life.
Walk by me, walk by me acrossThe lonely road that I may face
Take my arms and let your hadn
Show me the way
Show the way to live inside your heart
All my days, all my life.
Refrain: You are my lightYou're the lamb upon my feet
All the time my Lord
I need You there
You are my light I (just) cannot live alone
Let me stay
By Your guiding love
All through my life
Lead me Lord
Lead me Lord Even though at timesI'd rather go alone my way
Help me take the right direction
Take Your road Lead me Lord
And never leave my side
All my days
All my life.
You are my lightYou're the lamb upon my feet
All the time my Lord
I need You there
You are my light I (just) cannot live alone
Let me stay By Your guiding love
All through my life
All through my days Lead me, O Lord Lead me Lord.

Making Music
I know how to play the guitar but, not the piano. I can only play the Do-Re-Mi chords and that's it. In the Philippines, I bought a portable organ but, I only practiced one song and can only master the chorus part of the song "People Alone" of Randy Crawford.

I guess its not too late to study and learn how to play the piano, huh? Well, my father-in-law only play the recorded music in his piano. Every time he play the recorded music, I sing-along to it. I really miss singing in the Church Choir and my Glee Club in College. Music is like a positive charge to life. Without it, routine activities are so draining. Here is one of my favorite song, hoping you like it too.
Take me along
I don't care where you have gone
And I don't have to know
Exactly where you're going
If you leave me behind
Then everything on your mind
Will turn to pictures of the word
We might have been
Chorus:
People alone may go very fast
But maybe not so far
Playing along is still solitaire...
Remember
People alone may reach for a love
But only half as well
People alone may seem satisfied
How can they tell?
If we are crossing the line
Where there's no yours and no mine
We'll find it easy to see
People should be together
People alone may go very fast
But maybe not so far
Playing along is still solitaire...
Remember
People alone may reach for a love
But only half as well
People alone may seem satisfied
How can they tell?
Take me along
Let's not be people alone
I'm on your mind
So please don't leave me behind
Crossing the line
Where there's no yours and no mine

Roger Daltrey of the WHO
Here are some of the pictures I took during the concert of Roger Daltrey of the WHO. He is the singer behind the songs of CSI series. This is not a good shot because I am only using my cellphone. Remember I missed the other concert that I am supposed to be going? The venue is very nice and we are at the front of the stage.
Here is the vocal of Roger Daltrey in the CSI:NY intro. I am a fan of the three CSI's TV show and it's nice to know and hear the artist behind the song of CSI intro music.
The crowd was on their feet with his music. Since the venue is at Hard Rock, the bar is just at the rear end, so; some of the people in the audience were already drank and had a good time dancing. One of the guests passed out in front of me because of too much alcohol.

Well, at Hard Rock, minors are not allowed to watch the concert unless if you are with someone who is older. My niece is only 19 and she was given a bracelet at the entrance of the casino.
It was a nice experience really. The music is not bad at all. We get in for FREE because the ticket was given to Hard Rock patrons and my father-in-law is just one of the lucky ones who was given a free pass. The ticket was worth $89 for 1 hour and 30 minute show.

Winter Sonata Music
Four years ago, when I was in the Philippines, I love this "tele-novela" shown in our local TV-channel. We have this Korean Drama Series aired every night and dubbed in Filipino language. Filipinos love Korean TV Series. It was a love story and I was so crazy about the MELODY. Oh well, just listen to it and you will appreciate the music despite the language barrier.
I can't remember how the story ended but, the main characters sure did "CRY-A-River". A love story about two people who will have to endure the test of TIME.

Stephen Gately of Boyzone Dead at 33
Remember the music of Boyzone? I am a fan of this group. Oh, I love their music and in fact, I can sing-a-long their songs such as:
- Words
- Love Me For a Reason
- Isn't it a Wonder
- You Needed Me
- I Love the Way You Love Me
- Picture of You ( Mr. Bean movie)
- When You Say Nothing At All (Notting Hill movie) and many more.
The Boyzone members are Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Stephen Gately who died in Majorca, Spain on Oct.10, 2009. Stephen Gately and Ronald Keating, both are the lead singers of Boyzone. Stephen is an Irish. After the break-up of Boyzone group, his solo career was launched in 2000. In the video, Stephen Gately is the middle person who sang first and the main soloist of No Matter What.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Another day has gone, I'm still all alone
How could this be you're not here with me
You never said goodbye, someone tell me why
Did you have to go and leave my world so cold?
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
But you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
But you are not alone
'Lone, 'lone, why, 'lone
Just the other night, I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come and hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers, your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand then forever can begin
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
But you are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
For you are not alone
Oh whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And I, and girl you know that I'll be there, I'll be there
You are not alone, for I am here with you
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
You are not alone, for I am here with you
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart
You are not alone, for I am here with you
(You are not alone)
(I am here with you)
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
(Though you're far away)
(You and me)
For you are not alone, for I am here with you
(You are always in my heart)
Though we're far apart, you're always in my heart

The Prayer: Madrigal Singers
The first time that I heard this song was with Josh Groban's version. Here is the version sung by the Madrigal Singers from the Philippines. I longed to hear and watched them perform live on stage.
I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your Grace
To a place where we'll be safe
La luce che tu dai
I pray we'll find your light
Nel cuore restera
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarci che
When stars go out each night
L'eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede c'e
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe.
Sogniamo un mondo senza piu violenza
Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace e di fraternita
La forza che ci dai
We ask that life be kind
E'il desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amore
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a se
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child
Needs to find a place,
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salvera
I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your Grace

One Voice
Earlier today, I was watching the Fox News covering the PEOPLE protesting the Health Care plan of Obama Administration. They were in Washington D.C. with posters on hand. I hope the present administration will start to listen the VOICE of this grassroots. If President Obama will keep on ignoring this "small" crowd, he will wake up one day and realized that he is a ONE TERM President only. It will take ONE VOICE to knock his legacy down.
Singing in the darkness,
All it takes is One Voice,
Singing so they hear what's on your mind,
And when you look around you'll find
There's more than
One Voice,
Singing in the darkness,
Joining with your One Voice,
Each and every note another octave,
Hands are joined and fears unlocked,
If only
One Voice
Would start it on its own,
We need just One Voice facing the unknown,
And then that One Voice would never be alone,
It takes that One Voice.
It takes that One Voice.
Just One Voice
Singing in the darkness,
All it takes is One Voice,
Shout it out and let it ring.
Just One Voice,
It takes that One Voice,
And everyone will sing!

Undecided
At eight in the evening, Air Supply will be having a Concert at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I was planning to watch it with my husband but, he is not fond of their music. Look at Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock now, they aged but look the same yes? I love to listen them live on stage. These are my favorite songs from them:
- Even the Nights Are Better
- Here I am
- The One That You Love
- Every Woman in the World
- All Out of Love
- Even the Night Are Better
- Two Less Lonely People in the World
There are still tickets available at the floor front in the reserved seating. I am still undecided at this time. It is not fun to watch alone. My hubby will just wait at the casino. He said, he rather play the slot machines out side the door than listen to a slow music. Well, they have 2 days concert anyway. I might watch it even without my husband.Wednesday, July 8, 2009
"Thank You Lord" for the Blessings
I will not let this day pass by with out acknowledging the following bloggers for making this day worth remembering. All of these bloggers are caring, sweet, funny and easy to be with. Their blogs are very interesting and inspiring. I hope you will visit their blogs and befriend them, you will be pampered with friendship and thoughtfulness too.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
- Eleanor - a friend in my college days. We belong to Glee Club and we are both in Alto. She has the voice of an angel. There is no dull moment with her. She is full of life, laughter and has a genius mind. She hated me that is why she likes me a lot and we are friends up to now...LOL!
- Niko- a loyal friend who will be there until the end.
- Rose - a friend who weigh things equally and though she don't take sides, she will never abandon you.
- Beng - a friend who is just silent but, she will let you know that she is just there when you need her.
- Cecile- a very sweet, kind and very thoughtful friend.
- Dhemz- a friend who is very artistic in her own rights; a friend who will tell you the truth no matter what will be the outcome; a friend who will never left you hanging.
- Denani- thank you girl, you are so generous and so thoughtful. God will bless you more for being so helpful and for having a compassionate heart.
- David- a friend who makes me smile; funny yet deep inside a sensitive man who cares about anything and anyone he holds dear;
- Umma,YL, Shy,Clarissa, Mye, Jesmi, Eden,Nuts,Kittykat,Rossel, John, Gracia, Cacai, Lulu, Marife, Katherine, Tita Beng,Pau, Jena,Beth, Chloe and Cookie.
"Thank You Lord" for the blessing of Friendship and Family. This is my all time favorite song. When I am down, I listen to inspiring and sort of "sad" melody like this. Take time to listen and be inspired too.

Remembering Michael Jackson
I am not a fan of Michael Jackson but, I admire some of his songs. All the bad publicity and bad rumors, I really do not pay much attention because it is his life and I respect his personal side of the story. Let us not forget that this man has also a private life and not perfect. He was proven not guilty in court but he was still judged as guilty in the eyes of many.
Michael is no King. Michael is not a Role Model. Michael is not a Hero. But, Michael is a good father to his sons and daughter. Michael is a Friend to many. Michael is a good son. Michael loves his fans and no doubt, Michael is the king of Pop. Let us not forget that we are vulnerable to make bad decisions and we make mistakes in our lives. It is not you nor I to judge Michael but only God will.
These are the songs that I love and part of my life. You may say, how? When I was in College, our English teacher gave us a song to "dissect" and it was "Man in the Mirror". It took me a long time to study the lyrics and made me realized how brilliant Michael was. The song has the message of awareness of what's happening around us. That song conveys compassion.
Though Michael has "Gone Too Soon", his music will remain in my heart. I know that Michael will be "Happy" to know that some people see him as a person and not as a personality.

I see the kids in the street
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind
Pretending not to see their needs
As a teenager, its amazing that his music influenced me when I was in love and in heartache. Songs such as "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "One Day in Your Life", "Ben", "I'll be there","Happy", "Music and Me", Ain't No Sunshine" and "She's Out of My Life" are just some of my favorite. When I am inspired I listen to his songs and when I have my first break-up, his songs somehow heal the heartaches. Funny but, the lyrics of his songs are meaningful and the melody are truly wonderful. Soothing to the ear and kept me relax and forget my troubles. Well, as simple as that but he touched my life that way. With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind
Pretending not to see their needs

A Collection of Patriotic Songs
On the Fourth of July, I will be celebrating the holiday with my family in Mississippi. There are so many scheduled activities which we will be witnessing and I am excited about it. In the morning, we will be watching the 3rd Annual Coast Watchers Convoy featuring some of the classic and current vehicles. The route of the convoy will pass by the fantastic view of the Long Beach Harbor along US Highway 90. After the parade, we will be going to a birthday party for our cousin by the Front Beach. There will be a double celebration because we will have A Salute To America which shows our respect and patriotism. In the evening, everyone in the party will be heading to the beach on foot to witness the fireworks display. It will be held at the former park site of Fort Maurepas on Front Beach. We can also watch the other fireworks display which will be shot from Deer Island. Sounds like fun right? Speaking of fun, visit Amazon MP3 on Friday, July 3, 2009 and take advantage of the MP3 "Deal of the Day". The digital album titled A Salute To America includes 30 songs for only $1.99 from the original price of $9.49. This offer is truly a good deal for a collection of Patriotic songs. The album is already available since June 30th but, the deal will be on July 3rd. Take your pick and grab a copy.

Together You And I - Lea Salonga
Lea Salonga is my favorite performer. I bought 3 of her albums and I love her songs. I can actually sing-along most of it. In relation to my Nostalgia, I would like to share with you guys, the theme song for "Brigada Eskwela" by the Department of Education in the Philippines.

Fatima Soriano A Believer
I saw this girl most of the time when I watched the mass in ABS-CBN with Father Gerry Orbos. If you are in trouble and if you are sad today, please listen to her song and be inspired with her message. Take it from a blind child who is in physical pain all her life. The song is in English but, her message is in Filipino. Her wishes: Peace in our hearts and Peace in our home; have faith in God and believe that your wishes will come in God's time. Just listen to her song and be inspired.

150 Fun Songs For Kids

I always love singing and I collect children's songs. Being a teacher in grade school, singing is one of the motivations I used before my lesson for the day. It motivates them to have fun by listening and it made them alert all through out the period. The children are full of energy when they sing and they are better listeners if singing strategy is initiated first. They are very attentive to learn new songs too. You will really see the eagerness in their eyes to learn more. Singing is the greatest past time which every age group had a fun doing. Speaking of singing, behold this good savings from Amazon MP3. They have a great offer for all of you parents out there. This MP3 Deal Of The Day is only $0.99 which normally sells for $9.49. A good deal to have for your family and a great buy to give away as a gift too. This is a digital album titled 150 Fun Songs For Kids, a wonderful collection of children's favorite that is perfect for sing-a-long bonding of you and your children. They will surely love the selection of songs. So, visit the link and placed your order now. Don't let this great collection pass by, place your order now.

Hard Rock Casino In Biloxi : The Guitars On Display

These are the guitars on display in the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. These guitars were from these artists who left a memorabilia after their performances in this Hotel. Kris Kristofferson is the artist that sang: Help Me Make It Through The Night. I like that guitar too. Now, if you love to sing-along, click that song and you will hear the music.

The guitar of Bee Gees maybe simple as it looks but, you heard their numerous hit songs on the radio. I personally like How Deep Is Your Love, Too Much Heaven, To Love Somebody ,Woman In Love and Words.
Joan Osborne is the artist that sang What If God Is One Of Us. I bet you heard that song.
Joan Osborne is the artist that sang What If God Is One Of Us. I bet you heard that song.
This is the guitar of Joe Perry of Aerosmith. Just listen {here}.
One of the finest artist that I love to listen, SEAL. My favorite song from him is This Could Be Heaven.
James Lomenzo is a member of the group White Lion from 1984 to 1991, a metal bassist. These are the albums that he played with: Fight to Survive (1985), Pride(1987), Big Game (1989), Mane Attraction (1991), The Best Of (1992). And these are the songs that I love so much from this group: You're All I Need, When The Children Cry and Till Death Do Us Part.

Who Am I
This video was shared to me by Elena, a new found friend when we are processing our Medical Requirements for K1-Visa. She married to Hank, a preacher so, she always sent me religious stuff. This video really gives me a teary eyed. I consider myself as a lost child in terms of being detached from my religious routine and I would say I miss God in my life. I belong to a church choir up until high school. Every church activity you'll find me. Yet, my routine eventually detour to another direction basically not in the wrong way....just a BUSY life. School and work and not finding time to be with God in our usual time. Well, they say that God is like a bf...hehehe...jealous if you don't show up in your meeting place. But, even so, God always there when I needed him. Guess, it is a human nature that when we are weak, we find His strength and He is always there...because God is truly a loving God.

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.
Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?
'Cause I am yours.
I am yours.
This song gives me Peace amidst Trials. Would you agree?

My Immortal by Evanescence
I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
[Chorus:]
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
[Chorus]
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along
[Chorus]
I Just like to listen to this on and on and on then, i am alright.Check it out!
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

There's just too much that time cannot erase

Friend of Mine
I've known you for so long
You are a friend of mine
But is this all we'd ever be
I've loved you ever since
You are a friend of mine
and babe is this all we ever could be
CHORUS
You tell me things I'll never know
I'll show you love you've never shown
and then again where you go
I'm always at your side
You tell me 'bout the love you've had
I listen very eagerly
But deep inside you'll never see
This feeling of emptiness
that makes me feel sad
But then again I'm glad
I've known you all my life
You are a friend of mine
I know this is how it's gonna be
I've loved you then and I love you still
You're a friend of mine
Now I know friends
are all we ever could be
REPEAT CHORUS EXCEPT LAST LINE
But then again, then again
then again I'm glad
You are a friend of mine
But is this all we'd ever be
I've loved you ever since
You are a friend of mine
and babe is this all we ever could be
CHORUS
You tell me things I'll never know
I'll show you love you've never shown
and then again where you go
I'm always at your side
You tell me 'bout the love you've had
I listen very eagerly
But deep inside you'll never see
This feeling of emptiness
that makes me feel sad
But then again I'm glad
I've known you all my life
You are a friend of mine
I know this is how it's gonna be
I've loved you then and I love you still
You're a friend of mine
Now I know friends

But then again, then again
then again I'm glad
I was just listening to my music collection in PerfSpot having a nostalgic moment...hehehe...then I stumbled to an old song of Lea Salonga. I just remember my friend Roman Escobido who died few years ago because of car accident. Hmmm...yap...tragic end yet I remember having to rush early morning to Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes to confirm his fate. Well, this song was his favorite among many others. He always requested Myla, Vivian, Mylo and me to sing this song..on and on and on. He will use his convincing power to make us sing though. Got goose bump as I am writing this blog coz you know why? He died August. I think that was a 16th. It is 1 am on the 17th now so, when I heard the song and him flashing on my mind don't you think it's just odd? Coincidence right? I am thankful for this moment and certainly glad to remember him. He was really a good friend. We went to many places just to hang out and he loves to travel a lot. He likes the beach and just loves the nature. Summer of that year we went to Zamboanga with Sigrid visiting Dapitan and Dakak Park Beach Resort. We were just having a road trip down South of Mindanao .... not really a good idea for safe travel escapade but we did anyhow . So, that was the last trip we had. Now, its just a memory but a nice one to remember once in a while.
