It is Sunday today so; obviously we went to church early in the morning. Hubby already made plans that after the church, we will go to the mall. Most of the department stores in Merritt Island Mall opens at 11 AM so; we decided to drive down the beach and this time, heading to Satellite Beach.
We passed by Ron Jon's and when we reach the Patrick Air Force Base North Housing, we decided to stop there. At the front of this place is a nice beach open for public called Tables Beach, 45th Space Wing, United States Air Force.
There were a lot of people on the beach. Sunbathers, surfers and there were two who had jet skies. Glad that we have our beach chairs with shade on it so; even the sun was a scorcher, the shade of our beach chairs truly a relief from the scorching heat.
The waves are big but, swimmers enjoyed it. We were just enjoying the breeze. We decided that later in the afternoon, we will drive down the Atlantic Avenue again and just see the sunset. I will surely share tons of photos. Thanks for stopping by.
Just about 20 minutes, my favorite beach to hang out is Cocoa Beach which is well-known for its surfing activity. Aside from the beach, a family can also enjoy an educational visit to Kennedy Space Center which is just few minutes away. If you are brave enough, you can also try riding the air boats to watch the gators in their natural habitat. I never tried it but, if I have the time, I will ride the air boats too.
We bought a house in Cocoa and we will move here for good. I kind'a like this location better than Orlando because the traffic is smooth, the beach is near, the river is awesome and so many laid-back activities which my hubby and I will surely enjoy.
Look at Cocoa Beach, just an awesome place to hang out in the afternoon or at sunrise.
We went to Cocoa Pier but since it's spring break, finding a parking space is impossible. We drove few blocks away and these photos were taken from there.
Cocoa Beach is known for shark attack because it is an open water facing the Atlantic Ocean. That's the Pier shown on the picture above. The whole beach was occupied with students who are having a spring break, families and tourists as well. We can tell if they are tourists and they came from the Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral LOL.
This is a busy road that goes to Cocoa Beach and Cruise Ship Terminal (Port Canaveral). When we live in Orlando, we travel once to thrice a week to dine at the restaurants in the area. It's about 40 minutes away but, it's worth it. That's all for now and hoping you will visit my blog soon. Enjoy your weekend.
The beach of Fort Walton is so calm at early morning. The white sand and the landscape down below our hotel is truly amazing!
Because I had a migraine on this day, I did not go to the beach area. We might come here again next time and spend a night or two. This is truly a beautiful place to unwind and have a good vacation.
Well, you can see that the water is really inviting, the sand is crystal white and the area is so clean.
Suggestion: Get a coupon in the rest area, call and compare what's in the coupon book. Sometimes, what the front desk tell you is cheaper than what's in the coupon book. Don't book online! If you travel to FLORIDA, get a coupon book on the rest area or tourist area, get a good deal at half a price. That is TRULY a good deal!
