Visit Downtown Disney in Orlando Florida

Oh, it's a Happy #TGIF you all. How was your week? Is there any of your New Year's Resolution has been realized yet? Well, one day at a time makes a big difference so; keep doing what you are doing. As for me, I am moving forward and hopefully, everything will work out just fine. To join a marathon is in my list and I did wish to sign up in the Disney World Marathon Weekend but, it was sold out! The marathon started last Jan 8 and ends on Jan 12 so; better luck next year for me.
I know you watch Forrest Gump and if you happen to visit Orlando,
check out the shrimping boat named "Jenny" displayed in Downtown Disney.
Movie Magic!
Speaking of Disney, I was digging some photos in my PC files and I found these photos which I took about two years ago.

This is the Planet Hollywood Restaurant.
The price is a bit expensive but, if you travel halfway around the globe, it is worth a try.
Food is great and this place is always crowded.
There is a new movie of Tom Hanks "Saving Mr. Banks".
The movie is all about Walt Disney , P.L Travers and her fictional novel character Mary Poppins.
Now, check out the print around the balloon.
Yes, you can ride the balloon and see Downtown Disney up above.
There is no entrance fee to visit Downtown Disney.
You will enjoy shopping, dining, see a concert for free, meet a Disney character and more.
There is a cable attached to the air balloon and it's pretty safe.
For a minimal fee, this attraction is worth to try.
Downtown Disney has a huge parking lot and it's always full.
Despite of, I am sure you will find a parking space though and it's free of charge as well.
Your kids love to have fun so; plan ahead.
Check out the attraction and fun rides as well as free activities and crafts offered in Downtown Disney.
Don't forget to bring a camera and charge it well if in case you want to take a #selfie LOL.
If you plan to visit in the afternoon until evening, bring a jacket.
It's really cold at night and so breezy.
This is the entrance to the restaurant and most of the time,
the queue is long and you have to wait to be seated.

Any plans to visit Disney World? Don't forget to check out Downtown Disney and here's an advice, book your stay in a hotel near Downtown Disney. Anyway, I have more photos to share next time. Bye for now. Yawn! Hehehe. Thanks for stopping by.

My First International Flight

I was alone on my first travel to the US and it was my first flight for International. I was excited and I was confident that I can go through everything without a problem. I entered the US legally via Guam and it was a surreal experience. I did my fingerprint and some simple interview and off I go to my next flight to Hawaii. The travel was tiring and all I did was sleep and eat on every flight. I love looking out the window and having a conversation to God. The most beautiful clouds I saw was up there. I adore the beauty of the earth as we approached the airport in Hawaii. It was a beautiful Island, looks like the Philippines but well organize streets and housing developments so close to nature. Our flight was late for 30 minutes because of baggage problems. The next flight was Houston and the delay made the local passengers mad but, they have to wait for us since we are 40 plus for that flight. Airport personnel guided us to a VIP passage so we can reach our gate faster. I was traveling for more than two days and was tired but my excitement never faded. The airport in Houston Texas was huge and if you can't follow directions, you will be lost inside the airport. Most people that I saw had to run to the gate for their connecting flight. I did too but, it was fun and thrilling just like the movies. I was relieved to have my final flight to the sunshine state. I arrived on time in Orlando where my husband and his friends were waiting for me at the gate. Yep, at the gate because most of them works in the airport. The milestone was exciting and I can only smile when I think about it. God bless you everyone.

La Quinta in Orlando Airport

When we decided to buy a property in Florida, we stayed from one hotel to another. La Quinta in Orlando Airport is one of the best hotels which we enjoyed staying. For a fraction of price (thanks to the coupon I took from the REST AREA), the room is GREAT because it was CLEAN. For me, cleanliness and hospitality really matters.

Untold Hero: Dee

What would you do if you saw someone so sick and throwing up blood? What is your normal reaction? What is the normal human reaction probably?

You will not just stand and stare at the person won't you? Well, that was the scenario last night at Orlando International Airport at the Rental Counter Area. The woman above is Dee and made an incredible act of compassion to a 20 year old girl who is throwing up blood on the tile floor in front of the Enterprise/National counter.

She is a Rental Agent in one of the Rental Car Companies in that area. She was busy processing the customer form but, when her customer said, " I hope that girl is OK." She said , "What girl?" She was shocked that everyone in that lobby ( rental areas are crowded take note) never did anything for that girl. Even the employees didn't call 911! You know why they did not call? The in-charge is on break, that is the answer of the woman in the counter. But, she can use that phone right? Passive reaction! Dee observed that there are many people walked by, looked and stared at the young girl who is in great pain and the people DID NOTHING. Dee ran towards the 20 year old girl and she saw blood all over and immediately called 911. That is a normal mind set of a normal Human behavior, right? She has shown care even to strangers. The counter of DEE is a bit distant from where that girl was but because she cared, she had to do the right thing . THAT ACTION MADE A DIFFERENCE! We should show compassion to a stranger in this kind of situation.

The 20 year old girl has a Crohn's disease. It is a lifelong inflammatory bowel disease. Parts of the digestive system get swollen and have deep sores called ulcers. Crohn’s disease usually is found in the last part of the small intestine and the first part of the large intestine. But it can develop anywhere in the digestive tract. The 20 year old girl has also kidney stones so she was in a lot of pain. Knowing this unbearable pain, Dee added, " It was hard for me to not cry."

You made a good job DEE! You are a hero!
