Heated Mattress Pad

How's the weather in your place today? I know that up North is snowing but down here in the South, we have a fair weather. That is the reason I love winter time in Florida. It's going to be cool as if the AC has been turned on outside but, no snow at all. 

Sometimes, it is freezing here too that is why we have a heated mattress pad. We seldom use it but, each rooms in the house have it in the closet if in case we need it. If you live up North, you should have a heated mattress pad to achieve that comfy and sweet sounding sleep each night.

Bedroom Inspiration: 9 Bedroom Oasis

After working for 8 hours straight, we all deserve to have a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed in a pleasant and relaxing bedroom in our home. With warm lighting that sets the mood in the room and soft textiles to snuggle up in. Wow! What a precious space it would be. I was browsing the HGTV site which is my favorite website ever especially when I needed a style inspiration. Please note that all photos are not mine. Today, I found 9 bedroom designs that I call bedroom oasis. Here are the photos of bedroom designs which top my list:

I am attracted to this bedroom because of the patterned curtains. Paula Grace designed this bedroom and I love the accessories she put together. The bedside lamps are gorgeous.

Check out the artistic bed, huge windows, white sheets and neutral colors in this bedroom. It is simple, clean and elegant, reason why I love this bedroom.

In this design, I am drawn to the contemporary furnishings and the contrast of the brick wall. Check out the windows and the doors, a great design to enjoy the view from the comfort of the bedroom.

If the room has high ceiling, take advantage of using draperies and that's the reason why I love this bedroom. Designed by Annette Phillips, this bedroom has that elegance and ambiance that probably most of us would want to have in a bedroom. Hardwood flooring, antique white walls and all the accessories bind the room into a relaxing place.

This is a Troy Beasley design and I love everything in it especially the bed. The smooth fabric of the curtain, the contrast of black and white plus, the yellow accent truly created a calm and relaxing ambiance.

I love the skylight and the texture of the carpet in this bedroom. The white, yellow-gold and blue combination of colors is relaxing. This is a great design by Gina Fitzsimmons.

This bedroom reminds me of the guest bedroom of our friend who lives in Alabama. The ambiance is similar. The floral bed covers, soft lighting, antique furnishings and huge windows truly a delightful bedroom to have at home.

Last but definitely not the least is this Sarah Barnard's design. I love this design because of the color and the fabric, simple and elegant.

Red: Garage Cabinet

In the house, what is your most favorite room? It could be the kitchen, bedroom, living room but not the garage right? Whoever is the handy man in the house I bet, that person loves the garage. Is your garage clutter-free? Is it functional and organized? If the answer is yes then, I have to congratulate you for keeping your garage clean. It would mean that the rest of your house is clean and organize as well. We should consider the garage as part of the best rooms in the house and should not be neglected. If it is a dumping zone right now, consider buying the ulti-mate garage cabinetsto make it functional. There is no way that you are going to appreciate your garage if you hoarder things and dump it in the garage. My favorite room in the house is the office and not the garage. Even though I have seen amazing garage while watching TV, I can't appreciate the beauty of our garage right now. When we bought our house about a year ago, the garage has a newly installed loft which truly added adequate space. It has newly installed cabinets which provided for more storage. The installation of the cabinet doors was done poorly though. The flooring is just concrete and no paint at all. Hubby and I plan to rip the cabinets and install new set of red cabinets on our next project just like the photo above. If we can push through with this plan, we will be a happy camper. The look of the red cabinet is truly appealing, clean and modern. How about you? What would be yours?

Guest Bedroom

After driving for seven hours from Orlando, we arrived in Alabama and stayed one night to our friends house. They showed us the guest room and here are the pictures inside the room.I was really amazed to see the big windows without any window treatments. Whatever you do inside, you would think that anyone who peep from the outside can see you, right? Well, I tried to see the exterior of the house and from there, I can never see anyhing inside. It is totally black. It would be different though at night when there is a light on.I find the guest room so cozy and unique. This guest room has big windows and as I lay down to take a nap, I am seeing the trees and the backyard. No one will be seen there wandering though because the whole area was fenced in. It was very safe.
Here is the bed and beside that beautiful cabinet is the hallway to the bathroom. It is open and yes, the big window goes all the way to the bathroom. When you sit and do something in the bathroom, the view of the trees and the farm animals outside is what you will gonna enjoy.
If you hate the light, this is not the room for you. But, I love the natural light so, this guest room works for me. See the windows at the top? If it is a full moon, you can see it the whole time at night. I like the room and the hard wood floors. Some of the accessories in the room are vintage but, eclectic at the same time. I sleep good.

Rustic Bedroom Set

Have you ever been to a place where you stayed in a cottage with beautiful rustic bedroom set? Well, as a matter of fact I did! We had a vacation in the Philippines and stayed in this place where nature is everything surrounds the area. In the morning, you will hear the birds chirping, sounds of the water falls nearby and the buildings are made of durable wood. The room is filled with rustic bed, rustic bedroom dressers and furniture. The room where I stay, looks like this but, this is beyond beautiful. Of course, I love the ambiance of that place especially my rustic bedroom design. Yet, it would be different at home when it comes to my preference of furniture. I am the type of person who loves walk in closet and loves contemporary furniture. The bedroom dresser is alright but I would probably use it in the dinning room. I love to keep my precious dinnerware collection in it and besides, it would look great with my dinning table which is made of wood. How about you? Do you love handcrafted wood furniture?
