May 21, 2011: End of the World

When I was in High School, I was terrified to read about the apocalypse and that the world will end soon. Almost 3 decades passed, I am still reading about the end of the world but, I am not terrified anymore. I just shrugged the news!I read about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in one of the magazines that I read. Based in the last book of the New Testament of the Bible called the Book of Revelation, is about the four beasts that ride on white, red, black, and pale horses which each symbolize Conquest, War, Famine and Death. In the Christian apocalyptic vision is that the four horsemen are to set a divine apocalypse upon the world as harbingers or forerunners of the Last Judgment.Do you think we are seeing the apocalypse at this point in time? I snagged these pictures from google showing the catasthropic event happened in Japan. Do you think the earthquake happening this year is a sign that the world will end soon?
"MAY 21st Doomsday Movement" claims that on May 21 will be the rapture day or the Judgement Day. Look around you now! Do you think the world will end on Saturday? Or the Maya's prediction perhaps is true?May 21st Doomsday Movement say that Oct.21,2011 is the end of the world! 200 million of the people will just rapture on Saturday! Do you think this world will end so soon? If you ask me? NAH! This world is too beautiful to end on Saturday! Spread love everyone! Keep praying and stay close to your love one! This world is endless when we are with our family that we love, right?

Sendai and Prefecture

It's my first time to hear the place of Sendai and the word "Prefecture". I did my research online and here's what I found:

In Japan, a prefecture is the governmental bodies larger than cities, towns and villages. In this country, it has 47 (prefectures) sub-national jurisdictions which are subdivided into cities and districts. Each district is further subdivided into towns and villages. The elected governor is the chief executive in each prefecture.

Anyway, Sendai is the capital city of Miyagi Prefecture, one of the hardest hit and suffered total devastation as tsunami hit Japan. Sendai is located in the Northeast area of Japan. I was just overwhelmed with sadness upon seeing "The City of Trees" turned into piles of debris when the Tsunami hit the place last Friday .

I snagged the above picture from yahoo showing the debris floating near Sendai. Three years ago on the record, this place has a population of more than a million. My question is: Where are the people? After the tsunami that hits Japan last Friday, most part of the place was wiped out from the earth. This devastation will count months to pull the place back into normal. Let us help Japan!

Japan's Tsunami

My phone alarmed at 5AM and I turned on the TV for the early morning news. I just can't believe the jaw-dropping images that I saw on TV. Raw videos and Live telecast unfolded as the news covered the devastating 9.0 magnitude mega Earthquake in Sendai, Japan. There was one video which was mind blowing and unthinkable that for less than 1 minute, the water swallowed the whole place like miniatures. I snagged this photo from yahoo page and the force of the Tsunami made this possible! Unbelievable! My husband and I just sat in the living room Friday morning with disbelief! It was heart breaking to see the Japanese in this situation that even though they are well prepared for major earthquake, the nature just strikes with so much force and it's beyond control with engineering. I wonder what will happen next? How will this event impact the economy of Japan? For sure, it will have a great impact to the whole world. I am hoping though that this tragedy will bring people closer to their family and friends. Who knows what tomorrow brings right?
