Final Road Trip Monday Post for 2013

Today is the last Monday of 2013 and I am looking forward for the new year's exciting road trips that we will have. I am expecting more road trips in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and more because, we will be leaving Florida soon. Well, that will happen when we sell the house here in Cocoa then, we can move back in the gulf coast. Anyway, for Road Trip Monday, I am sharing these photos which I took while hubby and I were driving by Merritt Island just 20 minutes away from home. We actually went to Cape Canaveral. It was a gorgeous dusk moment so; I took these shots. Hoping you like viewing these awesome photos.
The photo above was taken in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

We were routing North Cocoa Blvd but, we detour by the Indian River Drive
to see the Christmas Lights display in the area.
2013 has been an exciting year for us. We love living in the Space Coast and we love exploring NASA's Kennedy Space Center which is just 10 minutes away from our place. We love this place and we love Florida but, we miss our family in Mississippi that is why; we are moving there this year. Expect more photos of road trips in this blog for 2014. Happy New Year everyone and thank you for checking out my blog every time I have a new post. Thank you for the support. May your New Year brings love, good luck and good health to you and your family. God bless you all.

Roll Clouds : Nature's Beauty

I saw this on the news by Brian William's on NBC channel last November 13, 2013. There was a pretty display of roll cloud seen in the skies of Texas. It was captured by Bonnie, a truck driver. This is such a fascinating nature's beauty.

All photos below are not mine. When I Googled the word roll cloud to see the images, these are a few of what I gathered.
Clouds like these are low and horizontal. Would you agree that roll cloud displays an amazing beauty in the sky? I don't remember seeing a roll cloud right here where I live. Even when we live by the Gulf Coast, I don't remember ever taking a picture of it. Roll clouds are low formation cloud.

According to apod.nasa.gov, "These may form near advancing cold fronts. In particular, a downdraft from an advancing storm front can cause moist warm air to rise, cool below its dew point, and so form a cloud. Roll clouds may actually have air circulating along the long horizontal axis of the cloud. A roll cloud is not thought to be able to morph into a tornado." Therefore, nothing to worry if I ever see a roll cloud.

The photo above was taken by Daniela Mirner Eberl in Uruguay.
The photo above is called Morning Glory, a type of roll cloud and this beauty was captured by a glider pilot in Burketown, Australia. This type of cloud can be stretched to more than 600 miles. According to the people in the area, Morning Glory appears when humidity is high.

I really don't know if seeing an arcus cloud / roll cloud like the photo above would be fascinating to me. It looks scary. It seems like a warning that big storm is coming.

Nature's beauty and phenomena are overwhelming and beautiful ...yet sometimes, they bring signs of destruction and terror.

Awesome Clouds

I love taking pictures but, since I have my BB, I am too lazy to use my digi cam. I know that the picture quality is not as good as the camera, I use this gadget because it is handy and the download is real time. Almost anything that fancy my interest, I would go and snap a picture.
Such example is the cloud. I am not the only one who are crazy about clouds. There were so many out there who even join a group and blog about the clouds in the sky. i might join in the future though, who knows.
I took these pictures while we are traveling with 50-70 mph on I-10 and hubby was driving.Cloud formation is awesome and I find serenity just by watching it.
I took this picture in Orlando after the rain. As you can see, there's a ray coming from above it looks like a mist. It's just thin clouds actually and it looks so refreshing after the rain.
This was taken on a sunny day with 96 degree temperature. It's always a scorcher if the temperature is like this. Hot and humid and the clouds further started a darker cloud formation. As we drove 15 minutes, rain started to pour so hard. Nevertheless, clouds can be awesome and scary at the same time.

Pictures of Rain Clouds

These pictures were taken in Orlando, Florida. I always had fun watching the sky because of the different cloud formation. These type of clouds shown in the pictures were rain clouds. As we drove in that direction, the rain started pouring so hard and the road had zero visibility.
Well, the bad weather passes so quickly and later that afternoon, the sky was clear again.

Cloud With A Tail

I love watching the sky at night because of the stars. I am fascinated with the blue sky in the morning because of the cloud formation. Look at this picture which I took in Orlando. We were on the road heading to Port Canaveral when I saw this cloud with a tail. It is beautiful! It looks like a chick flappin' it's wings and zooming fast.
Well, just a shallow thought though. LOL!
