Wandering Animals

Our neighborhood will never ran out of awesome sight to see as well as great looking animals wandering around the area. We were at Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar in Cape Canaveral having late lunch and these Pelicans were snooping around. Actually, these birds are always there waiting for food that tourists gave them. It is discourage though and if you happen to be here, in this restaurant, don't feed the birds please.

From Cape Canaveral to our place, there are two body of waters: Indian River and Banana River. Manatees are lurking underneath the murky waters. They are big but, harmless.

Now, we seldom see the black snakes in our area and they are not poisonous but, I just don't like snakes, period. I took this photo while we were doing the Children's activity in a private school. Well, kids were not there yet when this snake showed up. Kids were not afraid and they wanted to see it but, it was gone.

While we were at NASA -Kennedy Space Center premises, we saw this wild Turkey wandering on the side of the road. Hubby said, if I can catch it then, thanksgiving will be fun, LOL.

That's all for now folks and thanks for stopping by.

Final Road Trip Monday Post for 2013

Today is the last Monday of 2013 and I am looking forward for the new year's exciting road trips that we will have. I am expecting more road trips in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and more because, we will be leaving Florida soon. Well, that will happen when we sell the house here in Cocoa then, we can move back in the gulf coast. Anyway, for Road Trip Monday, I am sharing these photos which I took while hubby and I were driving by Merritt Island just 20 minutes away from home. We actually went to Cape Canaveral. It was a gorgeous dusk moment so; I took these shots. Hoping you like viewing these awesome photos.

2013 has been an exciting year for us. We love living in the Space Coast and we love exploring NASA's Kennedy Space Center which is just 10 minutes away from our place. We love this place and we love Florida but, we miss our family in Mississippi that is why; we are moving there this year. Expect more photos of road trips in this blog for 2014. Happy New Year everyone and thank you for checking out my blog every time I have a new post. Thank you for the support. First Day of Kingdom Rock #VBS at Divine Mercy Catholic Academy

This was the scenario of the first day of Kingdom Rock #VBS at the Divine Mercy Catholic Academy in Merritt Island. There were a lot of student volunteers and good number of adults. On the first day, I was on the registration table taking the names of the participants for checking in. We started on time and when everyone went to their respective groups, I went back to my pre-school kingdom where we have 18 cute and adorable little ones.

First hour of the day was a bit unorganized but, pretty much adjusted the flow in an hour. Everything was set up accordingly, KUDOS to the organizer especially the Director of the Religious Education Ms Mary Frances Coburn. That's her wearing green t-shirt at the middle of the photos.

On the first day, the children were being introduced of the Bible Buddy, Truman which is a bulldog. The children were taught that "God's love helps us ... stand strong."

I was in-charge of the crafts and there were 4 crafts to choose from. We made the crown, have the kids color and wear them. Questions like, "How does God loves us? and "How does God show his love to you? " were being asked to the little ones and they answered great. They were very attentive!

The lead volunteer is Ms Ginny who was in-charge of the story telling while the in-charge of the games was Ms Terri. Both were very enthusiastic and they sure can handle the group after all, they have little ones of their own. They were very motherly, very patient and they tried their best to inculcate what's to be learned for the day.

On the next day ... kids came back. It means one thing, the children loves to learn the word of God in "Kingdom Rock". Up next... photos on the second day. Thanks for stopping by.
