New Look Using Duck Tape

When I was at the garage yesterday, I saw an old decorative frame that we have and it was stored there for a year collecting dust. I thought of giving it a new look but how? Earlier, hubby and I went to Wal-Mart and I saw in the aisle of school supplies a duck tape. I am so fascinated with so many colors of this brand. Actually, I never knew they have different designs until that time and so; I bought one roll.

This is the original look of the frame and my Duck Tape is ready.

I measured the length of each sides and cut the duck tape equivalent to it's length. In less than 10 minutes, I got the new look that I wanted.

This is an easy craft project and does not take much of my time. Try it. Check out your storage room, garage, basement and find something interesting. Make over it using duck tape. Have fun!

Between Samsung Camera and Canon Rebel DSLR

I was reading comments of my blog today and one blogger commented in my post regarding the TICO Warbird AIRSHOW. I was showing photos taken from my handy HD WB150F Samsung Camera and he commented that I should buy a new camera to get a good shot. I was amused by his comment and at the same time remember that I had a DSLR camera that my husband gave me last Christmas which up to now ( three months had passed) still in the box. It was such an ironic huh? :-)

I am too lazy to play with my new toy. My enthusiasm just vanished into thin air right after I got it. I realized that it is bulky to carry when I go out to take a nice shot. Unlike having my blackberry phone or Samsung camera, I can just point and shoot but with the DSLR, I need to adjust or set up the right feature to use especially that the airshow fly so fast and just zooming like a wind. Right now between my Samsung camera and Canon Rebel DSLR, I am comfortable using the first item. I hate to mention that whenever I go, I also bring my iPad to take photos for my Instagram updates. Oh well, I will just encourage myself to start using my DSLR and get used to it. Good shot? It will be soon ... I hope.  

Photo Printing

We are new home owners and just move in four weeks ago. I am still trying to finish my projects in the office, hallway and living room. All cabinets and bookcases were put into respective places the way we want it to be. And just yesterday, I added a futon lounger in the office and I love it. The next project that I am trying to finish next week is the photo printing of my personal photos which I will add as a decor on the hallway. I made few personalize printing and more to go. I already did selected some of the pictures I took on the Bayou and the view of the Gulf Coast. I will hang them in the bare wall in the living room. I am actually in the process of selecting the best of the pictures that I took. I plan to enlarge them and cut it into 4 pcs. Put the four big frames together to make one big picture on the wall. My dilemma is to select which is the best picture. I already choose some family pictures to be added as photo decor on the hallway. That was easy because we have plenty. Since I do not have a long photo paper in the office, I will just order it. So far, I am preparing my album and did some editing. Next week, I will finalize and order it online. I really wanted to finish it on time and prepare myself for another project which is in ther Florida room.
