" The Tree of Loveless"

I went to my friendster an hour ago, visiting their pages one at a time as if feeling a bit nostalgic. Then, this picture caught my eyes specially when J wrote the caption "The tree of loveless" added with ..."hehehe"...LOL. What an awesome picture.... a very amazing art. Oh well, this picture is in Sokcho, South Korea and surely the photo conveys "Full of Love" message since the tree grows too many hearts in it...hehehe. Anyhow, It is really good to remember old friends, old days, old times and the milestones we left behind. Here we are in different corners of the world with new friends, new adventures and indeed new world. When we were in college, we had this meeting place fronting Xavier University...we sat on one of the benches together with our co-XU- Glee Club friends like Jack and Vivian... just talk about love, life, dreams, family and music. Who would have thought? J still into music but pursue it in South Korea . Oh! You should hear him sing! I am so blessed with friends who had angelic voices like Eleanor and Cookie who happen to be in my bloglist. Yep...they sure are singers. Back to J, he sang almost every night with a live band... still aiming for that dreams he desires the most. Singing is really his passion. As to the women of his life? He love them all I knew... but, maybe ....just maybe....the right one has still to come soon.

Presidential Debate 2008

I was watching the debate for the first time. Why? I wanna know how each candidates give their stand on each issues. Last night was really a history making moment. It was aired live at 9pm, September 26, 2008 on every major broadcast network but we watched it in Fox. The debate venue was in University of Mississippi the famous " Ole Mis" as what they call it . It is situated in Oxford, Mississippi the home state of my husband.

Politics here in the US is really really rollin' coz each citizen has each own opinion. I wonder what ticket will gonna win. Would it be the First Black-American President ? Or the First Woman Vice-President? I will just let you give your sides and comment. Who win the debate last night? Obama or McCain?

Republican Private Plane

Sarah Palin, a VP-Nominee from a Republican ticket had a scheduled speech outside Orlando last Sept.21 at the Villages. We are on the way to Magic Kingdom at that time and there was a traffic build up in some roads which was closed for the party to get into their destination.

But since we are on the opposite road I am just watching the long line of cars waiting for the signal to go. I remember that same event happen to me in my country that while I am rushing on my way to work , the whole bridge was closed because Pres. Arroyo and some dignitaries came for a visit and I ended up reprimanded at work for being late. Not their fault. Or was it? Hehehe. Just thinking though that these incident happen everywhere. Since, I am not affected with the traffic jam... was just enjoying what I saw. I really wanted to see Sarah in person but we have no admission ticket so, I ended up taking pictures of her private plane. Just taking chances, who knows she might win the VP during the US Presidential election come November 4.

CSI Miami

When the last episode of CSI Miami aired I was in Mississippi and all I could watched was when Horacio Caine shot and fell down dead. I was wondering why. So, I tried to watch the Going Ballistic Episode again in Fancast to understand the story why he was shot. The season ends with Horacio lay dead. I was so sad...it can't be! Season 7 aired today with Resurrection. Yepee! He is not dead! I don't like to see my favorite cast gone. It happen in one of their episodes and I am not realistic sometimes. I always want happy ending yet in reality its not the case. Nevertheless, I will be closely watching episode 7 starting with 701...that's an hour ago.

Dissappointed

Have you ever tried going out to a place in an instant and just grab your things and off you go? I did it today. Everytime I go out, I always bring my digi cam, my cell and my cards. I am that simple...just wear jeans and sleeveless and I am prepared this time, I wore a hat, a souvenir from Running of the Bull in Pamplona, Spain.

Was just taking the day easy and I took pictures as usual on my way to disney. Dropping by at Orlando International Airport to get things from the office. Meet the friends and I took pictures, trying to be a tourists today....hehehe. Then, the moment we arrived In Magic Kingdom, off to the step to monorail station....my camera signaled a LOW BATTERY! ahhhhhhh.....

Just Hanging Out

So busy these days and i miss blogging. I was planning to blog about Deadliest Catch or CSI-Miami or about women like Rachel Ray and Sarah Palin but then, something came up and i had to tag along with my husband. So right now, my insight just flying everywhere. But, i need to write something now. Guess I have to share this picture anyway...hehehe. Just hanging out in the pool with some close friends. I don't really like swimming specially when it is 90 degrees outside. If I did, I get the tan so quickly and it would take me months to have my skin color back. Ohh...but this moment? Whoohh..the pool is very inviting so, what the heck if I am dark brown! I am having fun!

French Quarter in New Orleans

The oldest and most famous part of New Orleans is the French Quarter. This is the place where Geraldo Rivera took his live reporting on Storm Gustav for Fox News Channel. He had the clever idea of choosing this place as the safest place to take refuge if Gustav becomes worst. He is right indeed! After all, French Quarter existed since 1718 and it stood strong as time passes.

Beignets in Cafe' du Monde in French Quarter

I always love watching Lifestyle Network when I was in the Philippines because of the cooking show. Cafe' du Monde in New Orleans was featured in one of the show. I was intrigued by the food they call Beignets and made a wish that i will gonna go there and eat. I was able to convinced my husband to go to New Orleans and see Cafe'du Monde in French Quarter and eat beignets. When I saw this food...it reminded me of the siakoy which my neighbor sells every merienda time...hehehe. It is just an ordinary snack for ordinary Filipino. Though siakoy is presented in a twisted shape like beignets the inside is soft and served with sprinkled sugar at the top. What an experienced! Hehehe! They should come to the Philippines too and try our Siakoy.

Typhoon Lagoon

One thing that I love Orlando is that it is the home of "Where Your Dreams Come True". I don't find mine yet unfortunately. Since I am working as a volunteer most of the time , I have the opportunity to experienced by chance these wonderful places 5x a week with my husband. This is a picture taken in Downtown Disney, specifically Typhoon Lagoon. If you love swimming, this place is the right for you at $40/person...i am scared with the water slides though.

Gosh, its Hurricane season here and I am so paranoid. Advise for newbie tourists: check the weather before coming over. Florida is a sunshine state indeed but, the weather changes abruptly. I say this because I saw many tourists who had to buy $8 ponchos to cover themselves from rain while they got out from the Disney parks. Well, after i took this photo, clouds forming dark and it rained so hard. Anyhow, my day was still full of fun and couldn't wait to visit another park next day.

Kennedy Space Center

Hi people...been very busy for the past days. We are moving out to a new house in another street and that consumed my week and my blogging was left out...plus, we had a family from Spain. They wanted to go to Kennedy Space Center, so Garby and John (good friends) provide us the tickets for free. Whooh! They are so wonderful couple and always stay that way since I have been here. Anyway, the entrace is $38/person so, we saved a lot. And we can use it for this week if we wanted to come back. Kennedy Space Center is such an awesome place to visit and very educational too specially for kids and Science teachers. I will write some facts about it in the coming days but right now, all I can remember is that there are 12 Astronauts who had been to the moon so far and of course, everyone is American..hehehe. Hmmm...Got to research more on that. The place is humongous and very very AWESOME...AWESOME...AWESOME!
This is the Rocket Garden...Huge rocket indeed.You can see the Redstone, Atlas and Titan Rockets that puts NASA Astronauts in Space.
Now, this is the Apollo/Saturn V Center....the huge facility that display the real Saturn V Rocket of the famous Apollo program. This facility was built as a tribute to the Apollo Astronauts and the machines that able to lift them to their destination and brought them back home safely. Isn't it amazing? I am so tiny. Hehehe.
