The Safari of my IPAD2 was Frozen

When it comes to problems relating to gadgets and technology, I am not well-rounded. In fact, I have no formal training with computers. The irony is that I work online. So, every time I encountered problems, I have to ask help from my brother overseas or, refer to the manual. Just a while ago, the Safari of my iPad2 was frozen and I do not know what caused it. I surf online and look for a thread with same problem as I have. I was so thankful to find three options:
1.) I open the SETTINGS and click on the SAFARI. I did try clearing the data in my Safari's cache, cookies, and history but, not successful. Every actions I made, it won't move.

2.) Then, I tried closing the Safari completely and then re-open it. I did click the home screen, double-click the home button to bring up the task bar. I press and hold any apps on the task bar until they start shaking, press Safari app to close it. I also followed to touch any part of the screen above the task bar so as to stop the shaking and close the task bar. Not a good help.

3.)The third option is a reset so, I press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for few seconds and ignore the red slider. The Apple logo appeared and it closes the screen. I read that I will not lose any content so, I tried the last option. It works fine! I was so relieved! This option is the reboot for iPad2.

My iPad2 works fine! I hope you can fix yours easy. Good Luck!

Museo Pambata Escapade

Yesterday, brother's family and my mother had a grand visit at Museo Pambata in Manila Philippines. It is sort of an Educational Tour for the inquisitive and curious three kiddos with them. They enjoyed the wonderful learning display in the following show room : Kalikasan Environment, Paglaki Ko Career Options, Manila Noon Old Manila, Pamilihang Bayan Marketplace, Bata sa Mundo Children in the Global Village, Katawan Ko My Body Works, and I Love My Planet earth. They found a nearby hotel in Manila and stayed there for few days. Museo Pambata is one of the main attractions that the kids love to visit. This place is an interactive museum for children. There are 7 show rooms to explore in Museo Pambata and each one of these theme rooms have the objective to educate and promote cultural heritage of the Filipino children. "A children’s discovery museum with various programs in support of children’s rights and a broad range of creative and educational services for children and adults involved in children’s welfare." is the mission of Museo Pambata. This place promotes Filipino culture, children advocacies, and creative educational programs in global perspectives. The picture above shows the kids manipulating the mouth exhibit while they are in the "My Body Works".Here is another photo while they explore the theme room of Kalikasan. They explore the exhibit of the Philippine Marine Life and the rainforest.
Children and young at heart enjoyed the theme rooms and the facilities here at Museo Pambata. My niece and nephews enjoyed it the most. If you have kids, you should bring them here and let their imagination run wild well, in a good way of course. Thanks for reading, come by next time.

Festival Place at Nassau Bahamas

We were on board the Norwegian Sky Cruise Ship for 4-days and as we approached the Port of Nassau Bahamas, we were excited to finally explore the beach, the Atlantis and the surrounding areas near it. We noticed this colorful building which is so vibrant showing the Bahamian architectural design, the Festival Place. I took these pictures from the ship before we went down to explore Nassau. This building is the Welcome Center in Nassau Port. When we went to Festival Place, the first thing I noticed was the blue and clean water as we walked towards the building. Then I was amazed to find that the whole area got is a WiFi zone. Inside, there were display of Bahamian souvenirs and crafts. We stayed a bit longer inside Festival Place and look around. Then, went across the Port and there were display of native products on the sidewalk. As you can see, the place is really clean. Going around Nassau, you can choose between a van or a motorcycle. We chose the van with $5/person fare and when we go back, we took a boat ride that cost only $3. Anyway, Festival Place is a good spot to use the FREE wi-fi in the area. This place is a delightful area especially for the employees of the Norwegian Sky because they can access the FREE Wi-Fi. I had a good time! Bahamas is truly a paradise island and YOU should find a schedule to visit this place.

Gulf Coast Mardi Gras Parade

I am a believer that God provides. If a person practiced the art of compassion and care for others, everything will be put in place accordingly. Hubby and I had been planning to see the Mardi Gras this year. I was back from the Philippines in 2011 so, we missed Mardi Gras that year. This time we will be going! When we checked out the hotel rates in Biloxi, it was a bit higher especially for the Mardi Gras season. But, Isle of Capri in Biloxi provides us a complimentary stay in their hotel for three nights. That's an awesome surprise and a blessing in disguise right?Anyway, did you know that Mississippi Gulf Coast hosted more than 20 Mardi Gras parades every year? I saw the Ocean Springs, Pass Christian, Long Beach, D'Iberville, and Biloxi Mardi Gras parades and I'm telling you, the events are so much fun especially when your family and friends are there with you. This event is always an exciting season for the locals and the visitors. The elaborate decoration of the floats brought so much excitement and the crowd loves the treasures thrown at them.
Aside from the trinkets, beads, moon pies, logoed cups, stuffed animals, candies and chocolates, there are other exciting items which on lookers anxiously waiting to catch.I love the D'Iberville and Biloxi Mardi Gras parades because there are so many participants. That would mean more amazing and extravagant floats with "krewes" giving out more beads and more exciting items. Are you coming? I will see you there everyone!

Cinderella Castle in Different Colors

Last week, our friend along the Kissimmee area called us that her relief goods are ready for pick-up. I was asking for relief items for my relatives and neighbors back home (Storm Washi/flood survivors). Glad I have two boxes filled already and ready for shipping but of course, I shoulder the $140 shipping costs. Anyway, after chit-chatting with them on politics, hubby and I decided to visit any Disney World Theme Park since we are already in the area. It was already 4PM and we parked in Animal Kingdom parking lot and ride the monorail to Magic Kingdom. When we arrived, this is the crowd. Let me tell you, this is not the busiest season. It always jam packed with tourists all over the world.Since we are just taking our time, we wanted to stay and roam the area, the Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland has the following attractions: Tomorrowland Speedway, Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Stich's Great Escape, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Space Mountain. Okay, the only attraction that I did not try is the Space Mountain.
I enjoyed the speedway but, Hubby insisted of driving it. So, next time I will be the driver.
We finished around 8PM because there was no long waiting lines. We were thirsty so we sat down at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe' and got me a chili cheese fries. We did not wait for the fireworks that night, we've seen it many times. People started to gather along the Main Street USA and in the Cinderella Castle Forecourt area. Walking away, I took these pictures as the castle changes it's beautiful background colors.

Effective Trade Show Displays

Every time there is a trade show event happening here in Orlando, Hubby and I always took the time to come see it. We shop for things that we need in the house and of course, we love receiving free stuffs during the event. It is always fun to visit a trade show because of the colorful and organize business space of the participants. There are trade show flooring so; advertising of their business is visible for everybody. Usually, we start from one end and walk our way towards the other end of the trade show area.

There are live shows and demonstrations of many products such as kitchen appliances, health and wellness machines, sauna and spa, and many more. Most of the time, the business used trade show carpet in their space and it's really attractive and beautifies the area. There are so many of them used logo canopy and the whole space inside is just the right size to display their products. It is not only used outside an open space ground but also indoors.

From my point of view, most of the participants in the trade show are very creative and really do something that can attract customers. Most of their strategies are very effective because I saw people coming out from the trade shows have bags filled with what they bought inside. Well, that would include us. We always buy something we like most. What they did with their area works great and inviting. What more can I say but, thumbs up!

Fixed Rates or Adjustable Rates

We are anxious to hear the final good news about the property that we bid last month. The seller of the townhouse accepted our offer in less than a week and it made us so happy. But, since the property was listed as a short sale, the bank of the seller will have to approve on the sellers' price. This would mean one thing; the sellers' bank has the last say about the price of the property. We both love this townhouse because the building is new and the HOA is minimal. We are hoping that the bank can come up a decision soon.

Anyway, are you planning to buy a house soon? If you have a good credit, you will have no problem with any mortgage loan because lending institutions will definitely love to have you as their client. But if your credit is bad, do not despair. You will get approved too. The interest rate is not the same with those having a good credit but the good news, your mortgage application will not be turned down. Lending institutions offer fixed rates or adjustable rates so; make sure to set your goal to either pay lower amount for long years or pay it in few years' time.

Vacation Home

This guest post from Werner Rogers:

We have had our mountain home for years and just had our family and close friends using it. We recently decided that we were going to start renting it out to people to earn some extra money. That is one of the easiest ways to get money because it doesn't actually involve doing or making anything. The only thing we have to do is correspond with the people interested in the cabin and send them the keys when their trip is coming up. We did have to make a few adjustments to make the cabin more appealing for people to rent. We put in a washer and dryer and added a few decorative touches. I knew a big selling point would be free internet access but I didn't know if it would be a possibility. I went to http://get.wildblue.com and found away to offer this. Now people on vacation can bring their laptops and upload photos of their vacation to Facebook while they are actually on their vacation! Maybe we will even buy a laptop to let the renters use while they are on vacation.

End Your Nasty Workplace Misery

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Contest Factory. All opinions are 100% mine.

I had a surprise visit from a friend today and she was ranting for hours about her daily misery concerning her workplace. She loves her job and she cares about her comrades but, she can't deal working in a nasty place. Their company has limited resources and they can only provide small amount for minor renovations. They have to be resourceful if they want to improve their office area. I was actually smiling (in a good way) the whole time when she kept on yakking. When it was my turn to talk, I informed her about the Pimp My Cube Contest
