Balikbayan Box: UMAC Cargo ... Bravo

If you want to track your UMAC BOX, check the site at the bottom of this post. If there is no record, it would mean the box did not arrive in the Philippines yet.I sent these boxes last January 8th, post Christmas give aways...hehehe. I sent these boxes in this store in Orlando, somewhere in Colonial Drive and I paid $120 for both. The woman in charged said, it would arrive after 3 months. So, I just said okay. But, then, my mother said they got it last Thursday. It is actually pretty fast. So, Bravo to this store and to UMAC company. I trusted them already. I still have 3 more boxes coming. Maybe , in 10 days more it will arrive. They were so excited. I tried sending chocolates, it is still in good shape. LOL! I might send another box this month. Try UMAC company. I recommend them so far. Tracking site for UMAC: umaccargo.net/tracking/

  2. hi, I read your site about UMAC cargo, let me just share my experience with this company. it really made our yuletide season really bad. we are expecting a balikbayan package from Canada that was sent through UMAC. If your not aware, during christmas, a lot of carrier companies have each modus operandi or schemes to loot on your boxes. but this one really is something bad. they had come to or house, got my mom's ID and said they'll just get the box from their truck... but minutes past when we found out that they had sped away from us. we called their company and when someone return back, they claimed that someone under an unfamiliar name already claim the package. accdg to the field agent... the one that asked for my mom's ID was not with them but infact introduced himself as our family member... THE QUESTION IS: why did they let that person sign the receive form without getting any identification card?

one of our neighbor saw that the carrier dropped off the said person with the package few blocks away from our house.. who later on rode a cab.

this is how the carriers "work" their way into most balikbayan boxes being delivered here in the philippines. so I strongly suggest that if you will send your love ones packages with UMAC,.. better think twice,...

your gift and packages for your love ones might only be enjoyed by some looters and unreliable delivery services.
